I've never understood that phrase. If there are no "playas" there's no game.

Ur right!

I think it's a clever play on the theme of the roles folks play within the constructs of what is set up for them.

For example, why hate the Devil, who is just performing the roll which was laid out to him by God, who created the Universe, to include Satan. Why not just hate the 'game' or the construct upon which God created? The devil is only doing what he is designed to do.

Carrie, please move this to P&R. We need to take this higher.

Well, if I'm being totally honest it makes me a little jealous. But, I don't get mad about it. I know he loves me and I know he's coming home with me. So, let other women throw themselves. It won't change anything.

I'm curious...what makes you feel like you have to "knock his fucking teeth out"? I would think it would matter more how your SO reacted to the situation.

If a guy would immediately arrive in my face with threats and insults if I tried to talk to his girlfriend or wife at some bar I would just shake my head in disbelief, because it's not like women have a fucking SIGN on their forehead that says "taken". disbelief I don't see why guys would feel the need to be so defensive if it's just chatting going on. At the same it's kinda hard for me to know if the guy who gives me the "evil eye" is actually her boyfriend or her annoying "cock-blocking" friend. shrug

I've never been like that, that stuff is understandable. It's the ones that do it in SPITE of knowing the situation. They're the douchebags.

I agree with you on that. I don't try to chat up girls that I KNOW are in a relationship.

Agreed. As well, if my bf automatically reacted without giving me a chance to respond myself...I'd be royally annoyed.

Haven't read any of the responses, so I hope I'm not repeating anything.

I think anyone has the right to try and talk to anyone else. So I'd let them talk to her. after she says "no, thank you", politely, he should stop. If not, and he's starting to bug, then he'll have to be dealt with. Hopefully by letting the patrons of the place deal with him.

Now if it's some drunk guy or some old guy or a handful of other types of people, I'll just laugh it off.

It's a primal instinct thing, maybe testosterone, I don't know. It's borderline disrespect on some level and I just won't stand for it.

Usually it doesn't come to knocking his fucking teeth out but if giving the look isn't enough then...

Yeah, it's not about you and what you want and don't be confused, I'm not talking about making a scene here.

This is one guy to another and if you push my button after I tell you, it'll happen so fast that I'll be escorting people out of the bar while you're picking your teeth up off the floor wondering what just happened. I'm not a violent person but I will not take shit from anyone either.

yeah, i've had an ex pull that shit with me and NO. just no. a perceived need to prove how much of a man you are, disregarding how your girlfriend/wife feels about the situation, is ridiculous. period.

falloff

See here's the double standard, I would never say anything to a woman about a woman hitting on her, ever. Gotta be a testosterone thing.

and you Stymie, I couldn't hit you with a newspaper and not feel like the lowest form of scum on the earth... hug
