Could Time Travel Ever Be Possible? Does anybody want to have a discussion on this subject,which is hotly debated in the scientific world?

Not by us I don't think. It'd be too easy to go kill yourself, thus rendering the whole trip impossible. Some logic is too obvious to deny.
I do think it is possible to travel forward in time though. In fact at this very moment I am doing it. Or am I just existing in time and not traveling through it? Is time of a distance or is it just each singular moment? If it is the latter then it's impossible to travel forward in time like I'm currently doing. I just exist for each moment of time. I'm confused now. | |

Time travel would only be possible from the time the means to travel back in time. If i invent a time machine on tuesday.. i wouldnt be able to travel back to Monday. However, when Wednesday comes, i'd be able to travel back to Tuesday. Thats the theory. | |

Yes time travel is, has been, and will be possible.
I think there are many parallel universes playing out all the possible variations of our lives.

Time seems to be elastic, possibly explaining deja vu. I always believed deja vu was simply a millisecond delay in your senses sending a message to the brain. For instance, we have two eyes and ears. If the message gets to the brain from the left ear/eye first and then - by a delay - this info is re-entered a millionth of a second later by the right half then the brain will read it as two messages. It is, but its the same occasion. If time travel is possible then why havent i come back and visted me? | |

i don't think so, not really. because there would be too much displacement.
but i think that if we could travel fast enough we would be able to see events that happened in the past. and i think that once we figure out dimensionality we will be able to travel to parallel dimensations that resemble ours, except for minor differences. maybe even to dimensions of this world that are still in medeival times.  dunnot for sure though  | |

I think the only way time travel could be accomplished is if we figure out how to go faster than the speed of light. I also think that If Black Holes exist and if the Concepts of Worm Holes are correct, Time Travel would be possible. Christian Zombie Vampires | |

But with my limited understanding, it seems like going faster than the speed of light would only make time appear to go backwards, just as the sound of a distant plane appears to be behind the plane because sound moves slower than light. [Edited 4/2/08 11:25am] My Legacy

I don't know much on the subject, however what if time travel is possible and suppose you go back to year 1880 then would you really go back to that year or some other version of it? I really like spicy food. I mostly put Jalapenos on a lot of my food.

Today, I subscribe to the theory, "you can't unfry an egg", somethings once done you can't reverse. But who knows, maybe one day they might figure out how to unfry an egg, once that happens then I think time would be in our power to manipulate. | |

I agree, I don't believe it's possible, at least not in a way where we could be isolated from the effects of time's reversal. If time goes backwards, so do we, otherwise there could be great consequences to the space time continuum!!!!! My Legacy
