The Most Fucked up weekend of my life!!!!

My mom's boyfriend fred had his family over and his five nephews and they kept coming in my room and taking thing without my permission and laying on my bed after they came from playing outside. then fred's daughter came and made things worst by not locking my door when she left giving these bastards a chance to take my shit and I asked her why and she was like "Idk how to lock the door" and I'm like WTF!? You're 12 years old you're not a baby. Anyway,When they were about to leave someone went into my room (it was locked btw ) and took my game while it was still running and the adults try to blame it on fred's other kid (only three btw) and half the time he didn't understand what I was talking about when I asked him about it. they left I was upset and crying and they also took my mom's wallet!!!

I swear if you were there..... eek so many damn kids fucking up our house.

Oh and how about my mom almost got into a fight with fred's sister.

Try and remember, they are visitors, they are there for a short time only. suck it in, be nice, let them enjoy their time there. Politics is an important thing. Being nice now will make things easier in the future.

I mean it's over now but, it still tramuatizes me I mean I couldn't sleep for a week and how can I be nice to people who took advantage of our kindness and stoled things from us?

Well, they are gone, and whatever they took is just material things. It sucks, but it's not that bad. Don't let it bother you as much. Just be happy it's over, you're still alive and well, and that's the most important thing.

Stymie

I get every morning to dress my autistic son who is non-verbal and legally blind in his right eye. Hopefully he is having an okay day and doesn't want to try to beat the living daylights out of me, standing just about six feet tall and 270 lbs. I then take him to the city ans wait with him at my grandmother's house who had breast cancer all while dealing with a daughter who wants to try to run away every weekend, a full-time job and school.

And you know what?

I find a reason to laugh or smile every day. In the grand scheme of things, years from now, material things won't mean a damn thing to you.

I know they don't have any notion of privacy or knowing what they should touch or not. They are just kids.

Suggestion...When you know they are coming over. Put your stuff away and lock your door and leave it shut so that they can't get in and mess with your things.

Just to add. You are 16...I am sure the kids also see you as one of them and therefore feel as though they have free reign over your things. They don't see you as a budding adult yet (and you're not) they still see you as the cousin they played with a few years back when you were their age.

Stymie GIRL damn I love you, you know that right? hug

it's called PERSPECTIVE and young people YALL need to recognize for real.
I am sorry all that happened to you, but like Ariel said, you are fine, you are alive, yes it was traumatic, but you need to realize that it will be ok, even if these monsters do show up again lol

yes, I know and that is why we tell him our stories and try and broaden his view a bit. At this age, he will hear and probably understand, but his perspective won't change for a few years, I know this smile But if he is exposed enough to other peoples lives he will gain empathy and his perspective will grow and change. nod It's all about giving him information to draw from later in life.
