strip-pole dancers...should we support them?

99% of all strip pole firls say they are single moms trying to make a living or they're just doing the gig to get through college...so should we support this decision by putting money in their g-strings and letting them grind against our groins?

Yeah all of those bring the big bucks in. lol

Whatever someone wants to do as long as it doesn't hurt anyone else, is okay in my book.

that's how i feel too. if someone is okay with using their body to make a living that will support their family and their goals, i say do it. just keep your head on straight and don't get too caught up in the "culture" of the profession. and by that, i'm talking more about partying, substance abuse, etc. just remember it's just a job, not a defining characteristic.

I actually agree.

I had a client come in my office one day for her appointment. She had to make a confession that she just got $40 for flashing her boobs (we were trying to get her out of prostitution). I was amazed you could get $40 for just flashing!! lol

I've learned that its ALWAYS easy to say, woulda, coulda, shoulda. I don't down women for making these choices but getting into the "culture" is an issue.

I love Laurie Anderson. lol thumbs up!

I had a friend that worked her ass off in menial jobs to earn her Ph.D. She graduated and could not find a decent paying job in her field. She started stripping to pay all her school loans and made more money than she ever did. It's not for everyone, I sho couldn't do it, but to each his own and it ain't my place to judge. And if men are dumb enough to spend that much money to be dick teased and without the promise of sex rolleyes I say, get that money guhl!

There aren't many that can do that though.

I know a lot of strippers...moms and college students...and they are all fucked in the head.

I have no problem with what they are doing...whatever floats your boat, but I have yet to meet one with their head screwed on right.

when i was in college, i lived in an apartment with three girls, two of whom were paying for school by stripping. one of them did get pretty messed up from the culture of the job, and the other was really good at doing her thing, coming home, telling us a couple crazy stories about her night at work, and then going on about her business of being a good student. she eventually was able to save enough money, get a different job, and quit. but she used it for what she could and got out when she was able. good for her, i thought.
