I know you all may be tired of me posting it...but I LOVE this season!
It is the best time to watch college basketball at its finest. I love love love this season! I love college sports so way more than professional. It's that heart!

It kicks off March 16th and I am so ready to be in front of the tube every night till April! ha ha!!

Girl I CANNOT wait for Sunday because my alma mater is going to make it for the first time in 30+ years! Drake University finished first in their conference and won the MVC tournament, they are currently ranked 20th. They will hopefully get a 5 or 6 seed and make it past the first round. I am in New York and trying to figure out if I will need to skip work and find a bar to watch the game.

When I was in school there, the women's basketball team was nationally ranked as high as 13, but the men's team always sucked. I still keep in touch with some of the men's team from when I was in school and we are all so fucking excited! Go Bulldogs!

I had the Memphis game on earlier. Whomever it was they were playing (I forget) got a beat down! Then I had to run some errands so I missed your Tarheels...close doesn't matter--all that matters is the 'W'. I have the Illinois/Minnesota game on now.

I'm just patiently waiting for Sunday to see who my Bulldogs will have to play. One of the commentators earlier said Drake could be one of the best stories of the tournament--the team includes walk-ons and (as I mentioned) aren't a team that makes it to the big dance very often.

(And just found out Coach Keno Davis (son of Tom Davis--who used to coach Iowa for years) was selected National College Basketball Coach of the Year by Sporting News Magazine.)

Georgia beat Kentucky...what an upset! and now they have to play Mississippi state tonight because the tornado postponed last night's games.

Let's see how they wil fare this evening.

Someone was talking about the Drake thing tonight. The guys said they liked to get on the campus just for the girls that ran track. Dirty boys...

Argh! The suspense killing me---it's down to the last region and I still don't know what seed Drake will be!

Yeah, track girls are nice if you like girls who have the bodies of 12 year old boys. The big deal at Drake is not Homecoming, but the Drake Relays, which is a huge track meet. Athletes from all over the country come to Des Moines every April to compete--including professionals. I saw Carl Lewis get beat(!), Michael Johnson, and Natasha Keiser-Brown run when I was in school there. That's probably what the guys were talking about.

I am taking North carolina, Georgetown, Stanford and UCLA in final 4!! Then I have Georgetown beating UNC again and Stanford beating UCLA cause of my latino twins the 7 footer!! then i forgot who i picked i think georgetown to win it all!!
