1 . What is your favorite genre of music? Even if it seems impossible, pick just one. Why do you like it so much? In my case, it doesn't seem impossible. It is impossible. I've always judged music on a song by song basis. Not by the artist or genre. It would seem that that particular type of thinking would hamper the amount of good music that I would allow to come into my life. So, I never thought about ( or at least, I don't remember actually thinking about it).

2 . What is your least favorite genre of music, and why do you dislike it so much? (I'm not talking about Polka or Yiddish revival rock, etc.--I'm talking about popular genres on radio). Again, I've never really judged music, good or bad, based on it's genre. There aren't many rap songs that I listen to all that much, however, because of time restraints, I've never really been able to give that particular genre enough attention to properly evaluate it's quality ratio. I will say though, that the few rap songs that I do enjoy rate just about as good any other type of songs I that I enjoy listening to.

3 . Now that the first quarter of this year is over, how would you say your year is going so far? Every year that I'm allowed to grow older is a good year. Even if it's a year that most people would label as "challenging". As long as I'm able to breath & experience it, that's all I need to keep me in Peace.

4 . Reach for the nearest book to you. Open it up to any page with writing on it. What is the first sentence? "True love is not outside: it is deep within you. You can never lose it, & it cannot leave you. It is not dependent on some other body, some external force."
( I know, I know....that's more than one sentence. But once I started typing it, it only felt right to continue until the point was made. Sue me.)

5 . Are you a religious person? No. Why? It doesn't make much sense to me. However, I gotta admit,
even though I'm not religious, I'm pretty goddamn spiritual.

6 . Are you an optimistic or pessimistic person? (Please don’t choose realistic--choose one of the two only). Optimistically real. Explain. I know enough that life can throw some real hard cuvreballs sometimes. However, I also believe that I can handle 'em. As a matter of fact, I'm incredibly proud of the ways that I've handled the most challenging times in my life. I learn something new about myself & the people around me during the particular situation.

7 . What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the new President of the US next year? That largely depends on who is president. If it's either Hillary or Obama, both of 'em will have to carry the weight of being the 1st. woman or black person along with the other heavy responsibilities of the presidency. However, I believe that if either of those two do indeed win, the greater responsibility will be on the shoulders of the U.S. as a nation. This country will be forced to finally mature, as a whole, for the first time ever on it's idea of the limited supeficial characteristics that it has "imposed" upon who can be allowed to lead our country.
However, if it's anyone else who gets elected, it'll just be the same ol' same ol', just with that particular person's "twist" on it.

8 . Pick two completely opposite orgers (plese don’t chose one you like vs. one you dislike as your criteria) and pick out traits you admire from each.
Oh geez.... I knew not paying much attention on this site all these years was gonna bite me on the ass.
I guess....maybe Squirrelgrease. He/she is pretty goddamn funny.

9 . Of the two orgers you chose above, are their traits you feel you have in common with each? what are they? or if no, why? I dunno....
seriously. I don't."

10 . What was the best vacation you ever took? It's a tie 'tween a month long trip all over Espana & two weeks in Vegas.

11 . In two scentences only--tell me what love is. It definitely ain't what everybody likes to post in the various "love-themed" threads that have been started in this forum since I joined. That's fer sure.

12 . When was the last time you went to a nightclub and you can actually say that you enjoyed yourself completely? Right after college. why or why not? Why or why not what? If you're asking why I do not go to 'em anymore, then I'll say that clubs are entertatining only up to a certain age. And I ain't at that age anymore.

13 . I don’t think the org is any more or less boring this year than any previous year (outside of quaidbowl of course). Am I wrong? why? It is what it is. Start putting more into that that, & I doubt that anyone can really enjoy it. It's just like everything else. It's what you bring into it.

14 . What’s the best thing about being you? What could make it better? The best thing about being me is the same as with everyone else in this world. It is my own unique life experience. There are no life experiences any where or at any time that will be like mine.

15 . What’s the worst thing about being you? How could it be far worse?Nothing. If anyone reading this ever gets the chance to be with someone is terminally ill ( there are programs out there that allow for being with people in the hospital who don't have anyone else to be with them during their final days on this planet), you will get to see that, many times, just your presence with that person will help to bring him/her into a state of Peace with his/hers situation. Upon this Peace, will be the realization that the uniqueness of this life-experience is all one needs or will ever need to be at Peace. Personally, this has changed my view of looking at everything. And I don't want to wait until I'm at death's door to reach this state of Peace. I want to try to incorporate as much of it as I possibly can into my life now. Therefore, that would require a perspective that doesn't really allow for evaluating how things should be better or worse. Things are just the way they are. If I try to bring my inner Peace into a situation, if it's "good", I'll be able to savor it more. If it's "bad", I'll be able to find or detect an appropiate way of dealing with it.

Whew.
That was a "mouthful".

16 . Whats your favorite board game of all time? I don't know. I only play 'em during holiday get-togthers with my family & close friends. And since it's with 'em, we're always gonna have a good time no matter what the activity is.

17 . What’s your favorite video game of all time? Because of time restraints, I don't have much time for video games. Or TV. Or, for that matter, most other forms of escapism. My only real two escapisms that I can enjoy are an occasional movie ( but only when I'm on the treadmill or a stationary bike) or orging.

18 . If you could recommend just ONE book (or if you don’t read, movie) to somebody to read, what would it be? I almost never recommend books ( or movies, tv shows, etc.) to anyone. And on the incredibly rare times that I do, it would be based on what I know about that particular person.

19 . In general, isn’t it kind of rude to vacation in Iceland and have your photo taken with hot young Icelandic boys when you know there are orgers who adore you? Okay, to that one person whom I promised to answer all of these questions seriously: obviously, this one is just for fun. So....y'know....
fuck Iceland. IMO, they're just as bad as all those bloody, goddamn moth-munchers. And besides, with all the global warming 'n'shit, I'm sure it won't be around much longer.

20 . Describe your favorite pet that you’ve ever owned. Cool.

1 . What is your favorite genre of music? Even if it seems impossible, pick just one. Why do you like it so much? Right now I'll have to say dance-pop because I like dancing.
2 . What is your least favorite genre of music, and why do you dislike it so much? (I'm not talking about Polka or Yiddish revival rock, etc.--I'm talking about popular genres on radio). Contemporary Christian and Gospel music. Because it sounds tedious and saccharin.
3 . Now that the first quarter of this year is over, how would you say your year is going so far? It's so early in the year I don't even feel like it's truly started yet.
4 . Reach for the nearest book to you. Open it up to any page with writing on it. What is the first sentence? "His passage to belief was completed that summer of 1948."
6 . Are you an optimistic or pessimistic person? (Please don’t choose realistic--choose one of the two only). Explain. Optimistic. I see opportunity.
7 . What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the new President of the US next year? Being taken seriously and perceived as legitimate.
8 . Pick two completely opposite orgers (plese don’t chose one you like vs. one you dislike as your criteria) and pick out traits you admire from each. I need to meet orgers off the computer to make this kind of judgment rationally.
10 . What was the best vacation you ever took? My trip to London.
11 . In two scentences only--tell me what love is. "Love is all you need to know. And all you need to know is love is all you need to know." - Barry Dobbin (2007)
12 . When was the last time you went to a nightclub and you can actually say that you enjoyed yourself completely? why or why not? A week ago. I was in London at a club and they played Calvin Harris "Acceptable In The 80s" -- my life made sense in that moment.
13 . I don’t think the org is any more or less boring this year than any previous year (outside of quaidbowl of course). Am I wrong? why? I don't get caught up in the org like that.
14 . What’s the best thing about being you? What could make it better? My situation, but I need more commissary money.
15 . What’s the worst thing about being you? How could it be far worse? It's very easy to get distracted.

1 . What is your favorite genre of music? Even if it seems impossible, pick just one. Why do you like it so much?

Good old fashioned Rock and Roll.

2 . What is your least favorite genre of music, and why do you dislike it so much? (I'm not talking about Polka or Yiddish revival rock, etc.--I'm talking about popular genres on radio).

Country. I HATE Country.

3 . Now that the first quarter of this year is over, how would you say your year is going so far?

I'm not complaining.

4 . Reach for the nearest book to you. Open it up to any page with writing on it. What is the first sentence?

"And it could be fun"

5 . Are you a religious person? Why?

Yuppers, because I need to be. Gets me through the day and all that. Plus, I like believing there is some plan for us.

6 . Are you an optimistic or pessimistic person? (Please don’t choose realistic--choose one of the two only). Explain.

Depends on the day, but mostly I think the glass is half full.

7 . What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the new President of the US next year?

Shit they got a lot to clean up. The War and The economy.

8 . Pick two completely opposite orgers (plese don’t chose one you like vs. one you dislike as your criteria) and pick out traits you admire from each.

Pass.

9 . Of the two orgers you chose above, are their traits you feel you have in common with each? what are they? or if no, why?

Pass again

10 . What was the best vacation you ever took?

hmmm I liked Niagara Falls. We have been to better places, but the vibe between my stinky and me was really nice on that trip. smile

11 . In two scentences only--tell me what love is.

I don't need no 2 sentences here ya go: Love is sacrifice.

I hate clubs.

13 . I don’t think the org is any more or less boring this year than any previous year (outside of quaidbowl of course). Am I wrong? why?

I'm sure the org is as exciting as ever, I'm just not aware of the juicey stuff.

14 . What’s the best thing about being you? What could make it better?

I'm easily entertained, and I could be someone else. smile

I'm lazy and self grandising. Again, I could be someone else.

16 . Whats your favorite board game of all time?

trivial pursuit

17 . What’s your favorite video game of all time?

shrug

18 . If you could recommend just ONE book (or if you don’t read, movie) to somebody to read, what would it be?

I Know This Much is True ~ Wally Lamb

It's a great book but it's also about 3 times the length of the bible. I'd just like to imagine people's faces in the book store when they pick it up and think " She wants me to read..... this." Like I said I'm easily entertained.

But really...it's a fantastic book.

19 . In general, isn’t it kind of rude to vacation in Iceland and have your photo taken with hot young Icelandic boys when you know there are orgers who adore you?

Of course! It's despicable!! mad

1.What is your favorite genre of music? Even if it seems impossible, pick just one. Why do you like it so much? I'd have to admit it's pop. Why? Because while the bulk of it is utter trash, it exists as a sort of repository of influence by all other musical forms. At its rare best then, it can be the stuff of almost boundless inspiration.

2. What is your least favorite genre of music, and why do you dislike it so much? (I'm not talking about Polka or Yiddish revival rock, etc.--I'm talking about popular genres on radio). I'm not a big fan of most "crunk" hip hop. It's repetitive, tries to pass off one or two looped phrases as "music," and usually has garbage lyrics if you can even decipher what they're saying.

3. Now that the first quarter of this year is over, how would you say your year is going so far? Shabbily, but still redeemable.

4. Reach for the nearest book to you. Open it up to any page with writing on it. What is the first sentence? Placards et bibliotheques, realisés sur mesure, épousent des pans de murs entiers, cachant l'inesthétique et ne créant aucun désordre visuel.

5. Are you a religious person? Why? I think we're all religious; not necessarily theists, but religious in that we all act on our sense of relationship with the universe, ultimacy, etc.

But in the conventional sense of religion, I'd say while I'm big on both faith-based personal conduct and the importance of communities of faith, I'm not as sold on the integrity of certain longstanding conventions of said communities. And I don't pretend to feel bound by them. So...?

6. Are you an optimistic or pessimistic person? (Please don’t choose realistic--choose one of the two only). Explain. Optimist. I know things can hit rock bottom... or worse, but ultimately I believe all things work together toward good.

7. What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the new President of the U.S. next year? Earning confidence and achieving a workable unity among an increasingly divided people.

8.Pick two completely opposite orgers (plese don’t chose one you like vs. one you dislike as your criteria) and pick out traits you admire from each.
HiinEnkelte: Endurance, learnedness, rationale, safety, solitude
enuffnsd: Endurance, informed imagination, audacity, apparent concern for and service to people

9. Of the two orgers you chose above, are their traits you feel you have in common with each? what are they? or if no, why? I lack their endurance in my old age, but think I oscillate between the two of them on the other measures.

10. What was the best vacation you ever took? First visit to Paris

11. In two scentences only--tell me what love is.Love is a glimpse at the divine nature. And since we can have only fractional knowledge of the divine right now, we can have only fractional knowledge of love... right now.

12. When was the last time you went to a nightclub and you can actually say that you enjoyed yourself completely? why or why not? I've never enjoyed myself completely at a nightclub. There are things I've really liked, but somehow I've never quite fit in that millieu.

13. I don’t think the org is any more or less boring this year than any previous year (outside of quaidbowl of course). Am I wrong? why? I think you're right. Things are pretty status quo here.

14. What’s the best thing about being you? What could make it better?
hmmm Aside from the fact I'm my daughter's daddy, I'm possessed of a certain breadth of knowledge, curiosities, experiences, challenges, etc. that I personally find intriguing. Life would be better, though, if I could hone the discipline and endurance to put those things to better work.

15. What’s the worst thing about being you? How could it be far worse?
I'm lazy, but I could be lazy and stupid, too.

16. Whats your favorite board game of all time?
hmmm

17. What’s your favorite video game of all time?
The MegaMan series

18. If you could recommend just ONE book (or if you don’t read, movie) to somebody to read, what would it be?
If you'd allowed an entire anthology, I'd have said the Bible. As it were, I'm thinking the Gospel of Luke or John, or the apostle Paul's epistle to the Romans.

19. In general, isn’t it kind of rude to vacation in Iceland and have your photo taken with hot young Icelandic boys when you know there are orgers who adore you? hmm Who's hotter - the orgers in question or the Icelandic boys?

20. Describe your favorite pet that you’ve ever owned. All my life I've wanted a colorpoint cat. And I find tailless Manx kittens adorable. Last year, a friend of mine had free kittens to give away. Turns out her cats had some Tonkinese and Manx blood in their backgrounds... I ended up with the kitten of my dreams!

1 . What is your favorite genre of music? Even if it seems impossible, pick just one. Why do you like it so much?

Hard. I love music in most forms so it is damn' hard to just pick one. I keep skipping between two music forms; rock in all it's forms and what is now generally refered to as 'electronic' music.

2 . What is your least favorite genre of music, and why do you dislike it so much? (I'm not talking about Polka or Yiddish revival rock, etc.--I'm talking about popular genres on radio).

I kinda dislike reggae often. Not the Bob Marley kind of reggae. I also really cringe at gangsta rap and any artist that has videoclips with scantily clad ladies moving their various body parts to the beat of the song that pretends to be 'music'.
Also, the R. Kelly kind of urban tripe that clutters lots of airwaves.

3 . Now that the first quarter of this year is over, how would you say your year is going so far?

It's a bloody mess.

4 . Reach for the nearest book to you. Open it up to any page with writing on it. What is the first sentence?

"The term black hole is of very recent origin."

5. Are you a religious person? Why?

No. I am spiritual. There is no deity in charge of life and death. There is just nature. And we are killing it and with it, ourselves. I would not mind if humanity perished in an eyeblink, it just sucks we need to take an entire planet with us.

6 . Are you an optimistic or pessimistic person? (Please don’t choose realistic--choose one of the two only). Explain.

Hehehe, answer 5 might colour me pssimistic, but I always see the good side of things, except maybe in my own life.

7 . What do you feel is the biggest challenge facing the new President of the US next year?

Cleaning up all the shite of the previous president and restoring hope in the US as a nation. Most of the world these days has negative feelings towards the US as a nation. Hard to break that spell.

8 . Pick two completely opposite orgers (please don’t chose one you like vs. one you dislike as your criteria) and pick out traits you admire from each.

Uhmmm. Jeeeeez. Now I gotta think.

IstenSzek. I like the fact he does not realise how genius he is. It makes him humble. And fun to hang with.
And opposite?
Imago. I like the fact that he uses all that bravado to cover up that sweet soul.

9 . Of the two orgers you chose above, are their traits you feel you have in common with each? what are they? or if no, why?

Ermmmmm. Opposites. Something common? We're all flaming queens, I suppose.

10 . What was the best vacation you ever took?

Diving in Mexico. Tanning in Mexico. Kissing South Africans in Mexico. Flying through mountains in Mexico. Jumping off a waterfall in Mexico.

11 . In two scentences only--tell me what love is.

Love is trust and surrendering yourself without losing yourself. Well, that's TRUE love. It doesn't happen very often. If it does; fight for it.

12 . When was the last time you went to a nightclub and you can actually say that you enjoyed yourself completely? Why or why not?

Two months ago. And his name was Steef.

13 . I don’t think the org is any more or less boring this year than any previous year (outside of quaidbowl of course). Am I wrong? why?

Depends on how long you've been here, I suppose, cuz the longer you have been here, the more irritating the repetitiveness becomes.
Also, there aren't as much outspoken fun Orgers, like Lollipop. That makes the boards a bit... dull.
And with the closure of Prince's site there's been an influx of, ermmm, slightly off fams that defend him into sillyness.

14 . What’s the best thing about being you? What could make it better?

Freedom. Better? Someone to hug without losing the freedom.

15 . What’s the worst thing about being you? How could it be far worse?

Dark days. Worse if I had no friends.

16 . Whats your favorite board game of all time?

Monopoly of course. Or Catan.

17 . What’s your favorite video game of all time?

On the gameboy; Tetris 2

18 . If you could recommend just ONE book (or if you don’t read, movie) to somebody to read, what would it be?

Gerbrand Bakker's Boven Is het Stil. Ask Isten for review. I recommended it to him.

19 . In general, isn’t it kind of rude to vacation in Iceland and have your photo taken with hot young Icelandic boys when you know there are orgers who adore you?

No. Sod all Orgers that are so insecure to think that's rude. Just imagine what went on once the camera went down...

20 . Describe your favorite pet that you’ve ever owned.

He's skittish, but a secret huggist; but only on his own conditions.
