By the way...what exactly was it that Clinton did to make sure the economy ran the way it did in the 90's??...Did anyone give specifics on this thread, or was it basically "The economy was so much better when Clinton was in office...we need him back again"...I'd read all the posts, but yanno, that requires another dose a ritalin...

The latter...but in answer to the basic question, after the Republican revolution of 1994, Clinton straightened up a bit. He lowered the capital gains tax, if I'm not mistaken, which helped a lot. Meanwhile, the Fed was doing great until 1999 so we had a very stable dollar for a while, which really smoothed out the economy, unlike the deflationary storm of today.
