Woohoo, Walmart remains #1 fortune 500

I am so glad they #1!! They don't rip consumers off by being the lowest and also they do not hire thieves as cashiers like Target!!!

Wal-Mart remains at top of Fortune 500 list
World’s largest retailer edges Exxon Mobil for second straight year

updated 31 minutes ago
NEW YORK - Wal-Mart Stores Inc. shrugged off weak consumer spending to remain atop the 2008 Fortune 500 list, edging Exxon Mobil Corp. for the second straight year in the magazine’s annual ranking of the nation’s largest publicly traded companies.

Fortune compiled its list based on companies’ 2007 revenues. Wal-Mart raked in $378.8 billion in revenue last year, up 7.9 percent compared to 2006, and had $12.7 billion in profits, according to the list released Monday. The discount retailer has topped the list six times in the last seven years, having been unseated only by Exxon Mobil.

Did you know that there is actually a position at Wal-Mart called "Lead Cart Pusher"?

How much of a badass cart pusher do you have to be to get the Lead Cart Pusher title?

Here comes the ugly!

Hoo-fuckin-rah! You must be jokin' or trollin'. WalMart is the scourge of the business world, due to it's rapacious business practices, all to keep the prices low. We the sheeple continue to think with nothing but our wallets and foster the destruction that WalMart reaps across the land. Need proof?? Here...

Just check out this trailer!!! http://www.walmartmovie.com/

and if the facts aren't enough (and they are out there...) you can always look at it with a speck of humor...

Now, I could go on & on & on about this topic but I have to get back to work lest Wal Mart outprice me and run me out of the business I've been in for the past 20 years...

I don't shop Target either and the moment Subway employs slave labor like Walmart does, I'm not going there anymore either.

It could be a good thing or a bad thing. i know my credit union was with Northwest Airlines and now rotten Delta acquired them shrinking the airlines for no competition, so now I am homeless for bank accounts. I have to find a bank and have to go to one of those mammoths!!
