I had an epiphany... I was talking with my accountant and good friend, even mentor and I came to the conclusion...
I always said that teaching would be the final phase of my career....but I really want to make the steps now! I will be damn near 40 when I finally get my PhD but I really want to teach... Now, my mentor has seen me through all professional phases, radio talent, sales, event planner, and he gives his stamp of approval. I am finishing my masters this year, but I would LOVE to start teaching at like a Tech School level. I walked away from the "business" (radio, music) in '06 and tried to press my luck in radio sales (YUCK!) but I think I am really honing in my talent. My interns from my on-air days all still call me and email me and I got the MOST satisfaction out of seeing them grow and blossom. Does anyone teach at the collegiate level here? I am REALLY inspired. And tired of fooling around with stupid Rappers and their bullshit

i have an epiphany as well
Sister Epiphany Marie-Laveaux the Nun of No Opinion she was Mistress of Novices when I joined the House we call her Piphy for short she isn't very short though. About 6 foot tall. She doesn't wear heels, and I try not to hold that against her. Though she does have a wicked tattoo of St Michael fighting the dragon on her back that fills the entire back. HOT!!! She's fairly smart too!!! She's a biochemist. To Promugulate Universal Joy and Expiate Stigmatic Guilt

I made a career move like that almost four years ago, when I was 31 years old.
I had 7 years of experience in the work field and could use this perfectly as a teacher. Now I'm an Aeronautical Engineering lecturer at the Dutch University of Applied Sciences. It is my fourth job, but it is the first one that provides more energy than it requires. That is because of the students. You said it: "I got the MOST satisfaction out of seeing them grow and blossom." The difference in the first year students and the graduates is stunning. It's fantastic to be a part of that. I say: GO FOR IT.
