I talk it out...and talk it out some more... nod

And talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk and talk it out lol confused...

I slip into "lawyer" mode a bit too often as well lol redface...

I'm pretty open about when someone has hurt me or bothered me or whatever...it's hard to express those feelings, though, without it sounding worse than you mean it.

I never hit, throw things, pout, go silent (although I'm sure there are times people wished I had lol ), ignore or sulk. I don't yell but my voice can get intense lol...I'd much rather bring it up and get it out of the way, and forget about it (or apologize if it's on me) and move on. And I always listen, no matter what.

Not really. I can usually get my point across with a VERY stern look and a pursed lip to express my dissatifaction with something. I think at most I raise my voice in anger for a total 5 sentences in a discussion, and that's only a couple times a year. I can't be in a relationship where I'm in a constant state of odds with someone, verbal or otherwise. I'm too old for that, life is too short (or to LONG according to how ya look at it), and all that conflict takes too much time away from laughing, loving, eating, and sexing for me to be bothered wink lol wink

Well, back in the day Mon would just kick off like the Hulk and I'd end up bracing myself against hurled clothes hangers, trying to get out of the room, laughing sometimes (which of course only made things worse) and occasionally walking out of the house and down the street a fair way.

That got boring after a while so I started getting involved, pinning her down, that kinda thing, but it was even more perilous for me. After a while it got boring for us both and Mon settled down a bit, or rather her spirit was thoroughly destroyed by how mundane life is with me as her husband, so nowadays our arguments involve a short, relatively controlled verbal argument typically lasting about 3 minutes, followed by a tangible atmosphere of silent mutual resentment lasting roughly 1-2 hours.

After this point we miss physical contact with each other and out of pathetic mutual need end up cuddling in front of the TV watching 'The Dog Whisperer' or some shit, still both secretly storing up resentment for the next time we threaten each other with divorce. mushy

nod I am almost the same way to some degree. I talk to you the first time and let you know I dont like it. If the same issue arises, I approach calmly and if he acts as if he doesn't really care about the issue, I yell like a drill seargent. (This is a warning of things to come) If he still doesn't care or if If it happens again, he can get the hell out. There are too many other fish in the sea. I dont need somebody around trying to make me miserable. I guess I could say I got to bed angry....i just make sure he knows why.

Going to church doesn’t make you a Christian, any more than standing in a garage makes you a car.
