My Bathroom Sink Is Clogged Up.... Not only is it affecting me, it's also affecting the lady on the other side of the wall from me, since the plumbing to the two sinks are connected. I made a call to someone to fix come and fix it, since it does not seem to be in the pipe, but somewhere in the wall. Now I'm waiting to receive a call back, and I'm not sure if I will hear from this person today or tomorrow. I really gotta move the hell out of here. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I wish that's all it was. Knowing me with my luck, it's probably cat hair or something. RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

My bathroom sink has been clogged for months. When I would use it, the water would fill up in the bowl and it would take longer and longer each time for it to drain out. Finally, it got to the point that it wouldn't drain and I would have to plunge it. That would get the water out but it still took forever to drain.
My boss told me a trick and it worked. She told me to pour bleach down the drain and let it sit for a few hours. Hell, I did it that evening when I got off of work and let it sit all that evening and overnight. The next morning, the water drained much quicker but not normal. A few days later, I poured some more bleach down the drain and let it sit overnight again. Now, it drains almost normal. One more try and hopefully it will be back completely to normal. I was like 'thats it? Thats all? Well I could have done that.'

I'll have to try the bleach remedy, thanks! RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

The pipes that carry the water from the sink goes into the wall. For a minute there I thought you had a bad case of descending damp

Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think it would work, since the plumber was here and confirmed that the plug was in the water pipes that are in the wall. The plumber ran a snake through my drain, but he's not finished yet. My sink is connected to the sink of the woman who lives on the other side of the wall from me. The plumber now needs to go into her bathroom, and run the snake through her drain to get rid of the clog. He left a note on my neighbor's door, asking her to call him. Hopefully she'll call him to come and get the job done tomorrow, so we can both have our sinks back. Sounds funny to call a plumber's tool a "snake", since it sounds like it's one of these guys doing the job: [Edited 5/29/08 12:20pm] RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
