I got both my state and federal taxes complete by last week, before a Turbotax deadline.
And guess what? I do qualify for an estimated $600 rebate from that stimulus package. My federal return --- $3! My state return -- $2! Whoot! $5 bucks! Well, I was unemployed for two and half months and the state did not take out taxes, so TurboTax took them out for me. Oh well. Taxes are done, that is all I can say. Now I will be able to party hard with Supa in June! | |

I did my taxes last night....I owe 2089.00 I get to pay a lump sum by 4-15, and 5 additional payments of 490.00 [Edited 4/3/08 8:24am] Say it's just a dream...

Luckily for me doing taxes was so easy, because the company I work at sends info electronically to the Tax Bureau so I don't have to fill in my income, it's already there when I'm doing the taxes online. Same thing for the bank, just one click when I'm logged in at my bank's website and all their info about my loans and stuff is sent automatically to the bureau. This took me about 5 minutes! I don't know how it is in the US but 90% of Icelanders fill out their tax forms thru the bureau's website.
I do feel for those that have to do their taxes the hard way - filling out forms in hand writing. P.S. No cheque for me this year - I have to pay $100 - and it's earmarked for something called "the Building fund for the elderly".  | |

taxes are done. haven't got my refund but after my engine blew out on me two weeks ago I had to dish out of pocket so the money I get back will make up for it I hope  To Sir, with Love | |

I'm taking holiday in mid-June, spending a week out in SoCal visiting my sister in San Diego. Roundtrip in and out of LAX from Detroit. My trip starts in Anaheim.
