For 7 years I have counted on you for support in this matter and today I ask again.

This is the day Muse has set aside to complete the ugliest task any American citizen must endure. ( confused Well aside Bush, X Vice President Tony Blair, Hillary,Obahma and whatever that republican guy who is running for offices' name is...)

I am doing my taxes!

So, ask not what your Countr(ies) can do for you,

but what you can do to entertain the Muse!

bow Thank you!

Hey lady.

I bought 2 FABULOUS suits on Sunday and spent way too much money on them.

I went through 3 interviews and various assessment testing today.

And now I'm not sure I want the job. sigh

lol

Enjoy your tax preparation. smile

I haven't heard back on the preferred, this was the lesser preferred... And I have another interview on Tuesday for this one. 4 interviews and 3 assessment tests just for a job. But it could be worse, if I apply for much higher I'll have to go through psych evaluation as well. eek
In any case the HR person I had an interview with today is also managing the process for the preferred position and he told me to contact the hiring manager again. I had less experience in that field directly, but after my interview he told me they were still in the process and to see if I could meet with him. My interviews went really well. yay!

Well, of course your interviews went really well! I suspected as much,do as he says and be sure you won't get an offer from them too. ...and yes, i have heard how many assessment tests and interviews it takes to gain the position. I suppose they are trying to weed out the freaks they will be stuck with in their insurance plans and offices and cannot get rid of because of lawsuits. confused However, it doesn't seem to work DOES IT? ( lol present company excluded but you know what I mean.)

I haven't done mine yet. And I can't believe I've put it off so long. This is the longest I've waited in over a decade. I usually need the money by the middle or end of February though. Fortunately, this year, I've maintained steady employment for 4 straight months eek woot!

You know, I mean to do it every night, along with a few other pressing projects... but I just can't bring myself to do it. Tonight, my excuse is that I have to be up to order concert tickets for George Michael in Chicago, so I have to get to bed early.

So if anyone sees me on here at midnight Hawaii time, use one of those brick-throwing emoticons on me. lol

I gotta do my taxes too. I think I should be getting a decent sized refund this year, since I made hardly any money at all last year. I am soooo tempted to take my refund money and flee Ohio for good! lol

the thing is, my federal taxes are simple enough that i can use free online software.

the part that keeps me from getting it done is that for my state income tax, i lived in Michigan most of the year, i'm actually an Illinois resident, and all of my income is from Hawaii.

that worksheet is a bitch!

I know, it's a thought I've wrestled with for a while now. sigh Wish there was an easy solution, but there isn't. The only nice thing about living here is that this condo is paid off. If I were to move, I'd have to try to find someone to buy this place (which is hard to do with the real estate market being what it is nowadays). I'd have to pay rent to live somewhere, until I had enough money to buy another condo/townhouse/whatever. But that would be hard to do, since I don't have a college education (but a TON of experience in my field). I probably would have to take a lousy paying job in the new state, and would be scraping by, month after month. It's a real sticky situation to be in, that doesn't seem to have any easy answers. sigh What I really should do is go to college here, get a degree in something, and then move, but I have no idea what the heck to even go into. It makes my head spin to think about all of this. I just want it to go away. lol

i was lazy. i used the H&R Block tax prep site for my state taxes, cuz i had to deal with 1/2 illinois taxes and 1/2 mpls taxes and i didn't want to deal with it. i think it cost me $29 to file this way, but this time it was worth it, just to bypass the hassle. shrug
