Things that make you go Hmmmm(part 1)... ...and if this is good enuff, hopefully there will be a part 2. Anyway, Why do we say that we're "Taking a Shit"? I mean, we're not taking it anywhere, if anything, we're putting it somewhere, from one place to another, so I guess I just answered my question. Nevermind.

What puzzles me more is why people say 'I don't give a shit' when they don't care about something.
I mean, if someone told you something that you DO care about, would you say that 'I give a shit'? (Or would you even offer them a shit, to show that you care?) Person 1: I'm not in the best of moods right now, my mother has just passed on. Person 2: Oh God, that's terrible. I really give a shit. | |

Why do "fat chance" and "slim chance" mean the exact same thing??...
By the way, Billy, your "take a shit" comment reminds me of a George Carlin routine talking about that very same thing..lol...something about why people say they're taking a shit when in reality they're leaving one...then goes into a mock conversation between him and a buddy: Buddy: "I'm gonna go take a shit.." George: "What are you taking one of my shits for??...Don't take a shit, I only got two shits left and the weekend's coming up!!" | |
