I love that people always question this part - I think if we ate nothing but steamed veggies & water for a month we would NOT be sick & deteriorating like he was. We'd be bored as hell w/ the menu lol but not SICK... the reason he got tested/weighed before starting & isolated it only to McDonald's was to show how truly toxic the food is there. Otherwise people would try to contribute the results to some other factor in his diet. So while fast food a few times a year is not likely to kill anyone (unless there's one of those lovely e-coli breakouts again drool ) that "food" is unclean, toxic & one of the worst things you can put in your body. But it's the norm so people don't think about it in that sense, they just follow the lines in the drive-through... EAT UP! hammer

& lets not forget we have parents who don't know how to eat their damn selves & pass the same shitty habits down to their kids. That's why obesity is such an epidemic these days - generations of happy meal mf's exclaim

I actually tried this for awhile after my girlfriend became a vegatarian and eeventual vegan about 5 years ago. I had THE worst case of the runs of my life...2 1/2 weeks of agony. She kept saying my body would get used to it but I couldn't take it anymore and went to a more balanced diet. Guess what...everything went back to normal and I haven't had the problem since. I really envy people who can go on such a strict diet but its just not for me. Again, its ALL about moderation AND whats right for you. I am not saying McDs is healthy by any means, but if you crave a burger and fries its ok to treat yourself every once in awhile....that AND you can't blame peoples/kids eating habits on fast food establishments. The responsibility utlimately is yours and yours alone.

falloff Shaky comparison but okay smile We're basically agreeing here, I just see fast food as more toxic. I'm not totally innocent, I've had fast food in the last 8 months at least once, but I feel like every one of those meals is a gamble & so not worth it for overall health.

& I think you CAN blame the establishments for making shitty product & passing it off as food, but that's business for you. I think the parents & the establishments are to blame really, with the parent being most at fault.

Man, I miss the old Mickey D's labels.

I have cravings for Big Macs every so often, but I usually get a double cheeseburger, fries, a crispy chicken snack wrap, and/or apple pies when I go to McDonald's.

That is so sad. The parents should be arrested for child abuse.

I agree that when a young child like that is obese, the parents are to blame. It is not like that kid goes out by himself and pays for his mega-size combo. sad. sad
Buy the kid a bike, and make him use it, take him for walks, play catch with him, don't pass him another super-size order of fries!!! brick
