Soooo good. i have a horrible, unnatural obsession with mcdonald's french fries on occasion. sometimes the thought of eating them makes me ill, but about once a week i want them really really badly. the salt, the grease...the grossness of it all... oh my god protege ran out of posts

Double Cheese burger Hey hey what can I do?

I still have the occasional burger or chicken club sandwich there from time to time, but if I go there these days, it's more likely to grab breakfast; either an Egg McMuffin or bacon, egg and cheese biscuit. When I was younger, I loved going to Mickey D's, but it got old pretty quickly though. If you want to know what too much fast food will do to you, you probably need to rent the documentary "Super Size Me". Fair warning: you probably will be really turned off fast food after watching this.

I don't eat at McDonalds too often 1. because it's horrible for me and 2. because I just don't feel nourished after eating it. But I get a craving for it every now and again and when I do, it's always a Big Mac. And I always feel like shit after eating it.
I do love the bacon egg and cheese biscuit and I NEVER feel bad after eating that. Shake it til ya make it

i used to weaken and go to mickey d's once or twice a year for french fries and a strawberry shake, but nowadays i can't even smell mcdonalds anymore. it makes me feel queasy. Co-sign. The last thing I had that was remotely a mickey D's related was a salad. Unfortunately, they messed it up with too much dressing. After that episode, I decided to not even bother with their breakfast sandwiches the following day b/c they'll mess those up too. Now, some of my friends of abroad tell me its quite the opposite abroad with Mickey D's especially in Asia. Because, they incorporate the local cuisines. Now, I would like to try that particular chain of Mickey D's when I visit there.

Don't eat it very often, but if I have had a few too many pints the night before a Quarter Pounder or Sausage McMuffin ALWAYS hits the spot. Its been my go-to hangover cure since college.
That Supersize movie was pretty revolting...but the one thing I always questioned about that movie is that if you ate one thing of anything for a month wouldn't that not be good for you either? MODERATION is the key. Eating McDs a few times a year is NOT going to hurt anyone, and as for obese kids... Isn't that the parents responsibility to educate and teach kids how to eat? Growing up, going to any fast food place was a rarity and a treat...but was NOT the norm.

I had a Big Mac combo last night for the first time in years. Those fries are still the best, even though I'm thinking "These are really bad for me" as I'm shovelling them in. The burger was o.k which is all I ever expect from McDs. The only thing I have regularly eaten are the hotcakes for breakfast where I'll make a stack and use as much butter as I can. They're really good if they're hot.

We'd be bored as hell w/ the menu but not SICK... the reason he got tested/weighed before starting & isolated it only to McDonald's was to show how truly toxic the food is there. Otherwise people would try to contribute the results to some other factor in his diet. So while fast food a few times a year is not likely to kill anyone (unless there's one of those lovely e-coli breakouts again ) that "food" is unclean, toxic & one of the worst things you can put in your body. But it's the norm so people don't think about it in that sense, they just follow the lines in the drive-through... EAT UP! & lets not forget we have parents who don't know how to eat their damn selves & pass the same shitty habits down to their kids. That's why obesity is such an epidemic these days - generations of happy meal mf's . [Edited 3/29/08 16:37pm]

That's why obesity is such an epidemic these days - generations of happy meal mf's . [Edited 3/29/08 16:37pm] I actually tried this for awhile after my girlfriend became a vegatarian and eeventual vegan about 5 years ago. I had THE worst case of the runs of my life...2 1/2 weeks of agony. She kept saying my body would get used to it but I couldn't take it anymore and went to a more balanced diet. Guess what...everything went back to normal and I haven't had the problem since. I really envy people who can go on such a strict diet but its just not for me. Again, its ALL about moderation AND whats right for you. I am not saying McDs is healthy by any means, but if you crave a burger and fries its ok to treat yourself every once in awhile....that AND you can't blame peoples/kids eating habits on fast food establishments. The responsibility utlimately is yours and yours alone.
