"That's a big move!"
From bortsch to beans, you bet! The cultural/psychological distance is bigger than the geographical one actually. But I'll soon start tackling the logistical challenge of making the physical leap too... sextonseven said: Flo6 said: Living in Moscow now but going to Boston in August to start college - can't wait!

The house of Siam gets best of Boston awards all the time for its wonderful Thai food. I love it, its on Columbus Avenue in the South End. And reasonably priced too.

I lived South of Boston for 28 years, but technically the thread asked who was from MA! When I go to places in Boston I always asked for directions from Mass Ave because I always got lost! Then I started dating someone who lived in Somerville and got my bearings around there and Cambridge and he worked in Dudley Sq. I'm a lot better with it now, and especially Allston Rock City and Brighton...but I do get things mixed up!!!!!

I've only been to Boston once when I visited Boston U because I got accepted there back in the 80s. I ended up going to Carnegie Mellon in Pittsburgh instead which is a better school, but Pittsburgh isn't my favorite city.
