Ugh, weekend job! Props.

Other than cheap wine and dark chocolate bricks, it's a great place to get natural soap and hair/shower products.

And everything else. lol Wish my local ones had a larger produce section, however. They've got the basics, but it would be nice if I could get everything I needed there (Mexican stuff: peppers, cotija, tamale meal, etc). So I've got TJ's, the local tienda, and the local produce market.

I shop there every few months or so for fun stuff, but it's not my "regular" grocery store.

I was just there on Friday.

They sell a lot of prepared foods, which I generally don't eat. (I prefer to do my own cooking.) So on the rare occasions that I shop there, I like to buy nuts (you can't beat their prices on these) and sprouted grain bread.

Frankly, there are better places to shop for fresh foods in Madison. shrug

I live in Rockland county in New York. I think that there are a couple of them in Westchester and I know there are some in NYC, but I'm not about to drive over the Tappan Zee Bridge to get groceries lol hmph!

Being in CA, we're kind of inundated with natural foods stores. But I do dig the chicken enchiladas at TJ's. They're less than $2 for two.

Loves it!!!

I normally get...

Any of their prepared salads
Frozen Orange Mandarin Chicken
Chicken Gorgonzola
Pizza
Mushroon turnover yum yums
Peanut Butter cups
Cereal
Mini Quiches
2 buck chuck
Meat.

Trader Joes is great for the Single person or the couple. I can't imagine trying to grocery shop for the family as the portions are not cut out for more than 2 people.

The closest one to me is about five miles away, while I have a Whole Foods and Wild Oats both in my town. I've always wanted to buy some bottles of Charles Shaw wines though (a.k.a. Two Buck Chuck).

I've only shopped at Trader Joe's once, and liked it. Unfortunately, there are none of these stores in close proximity to my house.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.
