It is/was beautiful, but to those of us in Atlanta it has been devastating.

Luckily no lives lost (so far in the city), but loads of damage to businesses, personal property and landmarks.

Streets closed, MARTA railway stations closed, businesses closed (so people cannot go to work, hence lost wages), cars crushed, CNN heavily damaged, World Congress Center heavily damaged, Georgia Dome heavily damaged, the Tabernacle (built in 1910) ruined.....ad nauseum.....

cool

You're so right. I am sorry if admiring the pic was disrespectful, it was not meant in such a way.

I am sorry for all Atlantians. hug

Scary.
In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular.

I'm glad you are safe hug

One lady has died a little north of the city. She and husband thrown out of bed. She died, he is in serious condition. They owned and operated an animal rescue mission and all animals lost - horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, parrots. Devastating.

Thanks. My mom's house and car was heavily damaged. It could have been much worse.

Well Atlanta was spared. Better than that f-4 tornado that tore up Forth Worth texas or that F-3 that hit downtown Nashville!! The one in Ft worth they saw it coming miles away!!!
