Yesterday afternoon, my daughter Christina went to the hospital and found out she is suffering Preeclampsia! She has been ordered to stay off her feet! So it's bed rest city for her! She is suffering contractions, severe swelling, headaches, high blood pressure and protien in her urine. All signs of Preeclampsia.

She is having to call her OB/GYN this morning to make an appointment to see if her regular Dr. can get her in to see her before next Friday. So please keep your fingers crossed.

As everyone might know, Preeclampsia can only be cured by Christina giving birth. She is almost 36 weeks, so if her Dr decides to induce, my Granddaughter should be okay.

I also know many women suffer from this, but it doesn't help me from NOT worrying! I also know Preeclampsia can kill Mother and child, it's rare but it can happen.

So let's work our org magic and send good thoughts to my Christina and her daughter Seyhan!



Update: Christina's husband Cody, called the Women's center, because Christina's swelling has gotten worse. The hospital told Cody to bring her in right away. So..right now, she is heading here to Norman so she can get checked out. Not sure what will happen, but I will do my best to keep everyone updated!

Update #2

Christina went to the Dr. today, and as of right now she has managed to keep her preeclampsia under control, blood pressure was good etc. Her Dr. is now concerned about something called H.E.L.L.P. syndrome.

I need to do more research concerning this. But if anyone knows anything please orgnote me. But as of right now my Tina is still on bed rest, and next Monday her Dr. will run more tests, and what comes from those will decided if we move forward with an induction.

I want to thank everyone again for being so kind, with the sweet posts and the many orgnotes. It means a great deal to my family that we have so many of you on our side, and sending us happy vibes.

Please just try to remain as calm as possible, as loving and supportive to your baby girl as possible, and by all means get her in bed TODAY.

I know this is a shocker because this condition is serious (I've experienced this before with members of my family)...but making sure the expectant mother remains resting, and made to feel loved and supported at every turn emotionally is crucial. If there was ever a time to spoil her beyond her wildest dreams to keep her spirits up it would be now ....omg...you are appreciated here soooo much, you know the org completely has your back in prayers and well wishes...just lay her down and give her and the baby lots of love...you've got an entire army of people here who will be praying and sending positive energy in your direction until everything is alright again

Moni, I know she'll be okay. If it makes you feel any better, I authorize stays for hospitals and we get preclampsyia admits all the time. Moms and babies are all discharged healthy. I'll keep all three of you in my thoughts but I know you'll be holdling that baby soon!
