I like this brand of French vanilla better.... but for the lactose intolerant in this thread..... try the peppermint stick flavor

I make my own. Five egg yolks...fresh cream...whole vanilla bean. It takes two days to make and is absolutely to die for. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

It gets steeped in the milk for 24 hours...left in there while the custard is made (so heated one more time)...and then the seeds are scraped out of it and left in the ice cream. I use the rinsed and dried pods to make vanilla sugar. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves. | |

Technically, there are about 150 different types of vanilla, but primarily the world just uses two: Tahitian vanilla and Bourbon-Madagascar vanilla.
