roughly $300 I think

I average no more than 80 to 90 bucks though, as I'm a sneakers type of guy.

I think about $125. for a pair of shoes, $200. or so for a pair of boots.
I'll find a pair I like, and wait them out until they go on sale and get marked down- sometimes twice! biggrin

I have about 275 pairs of shoes- I can't afford to buy every pair out of my budget. giggle

I'll easily spend up to $120 or so. When it gets beyond $150 I gotta think about it hard, & I've never spend over $300...

nothing over a hundred. Shoes that are over a hundred I usually find on sale or clearance. I try really hard not to pay full price.

That's the blessing of an average or small foot lol I'm in a damn 10 so I have to snag them as soon as I see them, the larger sizes go quickly mad I was an 8.5 forever, somehow over the last 5 years or so I've slowly crept to a 9, 9.5, now mostly 10. I miss the old days sigh

For me, about $190, or after you adjust for inflation, about $300 in today's money. That was for a pair of Reebok Pump athletic shoes, which were something of a status symbol at my school.

Looking back on it today, I think that was an incredible waste of money. boxed These days, although I usually buy Nike when I want athletic shoes -- they seem to hold up well, and I find them to be very comfortable -- I try to buy them during a clearance sale. This often allows me to get a pretty nice pair for $50 or less.

For someone else, something like $300 on a pair of Italian-made Coach boots that were marked down from an original price of something like $600.

I think $190 is the most I've spent. I range all over and while I love a bargain (the last pair of shoes I bought that I absolutely LOVE were on clearance for $10) I won't hesitate to spend more on shoes that are good quality and that I know I'll get wear out of. But I'm not extravagent rich girl, so that means I don't see myself spending more than $100 all that regularly.

The most I've spent on shoes was $400 and $700 on boots, both on sale, I usually try to spend no more than $200, again on sale. I can't bring myself to pay regular price for ANY shoes. Now, will the congregation bow their heads in prayer. . . pray lol

I was in Atlantic City one time and I picked up a pair of "hairy" boots in one of those boutiques. The salesgirl looked at me with that "If U can't afford it, drop it" snooty look. I ask what they were made of, and she sneered, "Pony Hair". I asked how much, and she told me $1700.!! omfg
I dropped 'em like they were nasty! She looked at me like "Get out, PEON!" loser

That ain't right. disbelief I hate snooty, uppity ass sales people. I LOVE going in to Neiman's and Sak's extra casual in old sweats and dirty tennis shoes, to see how the salespeople ack. Unfortunately, they now recognize me so my secret shopper routine isn't as effective. shrug I prefer to shop online though cuz you get a much bigger selection.

If a sales person gets snooty or acts uppity I will have them bring out a ton of shoes, try them on and buy nothing just to piss them off. all that running back and forth for nothing, lol.
