my relationship turned long distance when my gal moved away for school a few months ago, and despite me trying to balance between being too clingy but also connected and giving, I sensed the love going weak (even after almost two years of living together!) and I lost my trust in the strength of our connection. She was obviously not with me anymore in recent days... so we talked in person and split.

Sad and lonely... but like James Brown... "single and ready to mingle!"

But... I think I'm starting to get the hang of it (relationships).

Sorry to hear about the breakup. College is always very busy and new for folks--I've seen lots of couples drift apart because one was away on College. It's a good thing you saw the signs though.

I hear U, man. I was just in a 3 year plus long-distance relationship, and that was challenging 2 say the least. We'd see each other every other weekend, taking turns doing the traveling. It's tough, because your time is limited, and U want 2 do everything U can during that time, knowing the end is coming soon. Expectations get in the way because of this time constraint. It's rough. It's over now, and I don't think I want 2 be single, but I'm definitely ready 2 mingle.
