Or try laser eye surgery. I had my eyes done two years ago and I love it. And if I just ever want to wear glasses as a fashion statement, just get ones with plain lenses. it's expensive but one day, maybe after grad school [...i think i can, i think i can, i think i can...]

But anyway, 300$ later, i bought a sexy new pair of glasses

Though it has always been the cost and the whole keeping my eye open when something is coming at it thing that has stopped me.I hate my glasses, they are really uncomfortable and dig into my nose. So I walk around the house blind and squinting. I was lucky enough to find an awesome Dr. with great prices! I was scared about keeping my open too, but they have this thing that does it for you. I was amazed how easy it really was. I am soooo glad I did it! The last two years have been awesome! Proud Memaw to Seyhan Olivia Christine ,Zoey Cirilo Jaylee & Ellie Abigail Lillian

It was so easy! They put so many numbing drops in your eyes, you don't even notice anything. I was scared, but it was sooo worth it! And as long as you find a good Dr, you won't have anything to worry about. I researched my Dr. and he is the best in our state! i wish! it's hard without my glasses It seems like a slim chance, yeah, but I think it's possible. Do you think nearsighted cavemen would have survived? In this world of reading & TV & computers it's no surprise that maybe our eyes get out of shape. We focus for hours a day on closeup objects. If you hold your finger a few inches in front of your eyes, and focus on that, then focus on something far away, like mountains (and with no glasses on) go back & forth for ten minutes a day. Problem is, like all exercise, it can only work if you actually do it! My Legacy

I don't have time for that! But really you should try it Actually that's the problem with contacts. I wear them virtually all the time (since I'm addicted to sunglasses) so the opportunity to do some exercises outside without glasses never seems to come up. My Legacy

I have the worst contact lens story ever.
When I was 25, I made The Greatest Catch in Softball History. That's a whole 'nother story, but you need to know that my face was ripped open, I had severed a tear duct, and gashed my forehead. So I was taken to the hospital. I'm on the emergency room operating table, my face is laying all over the place, and I need eye surgery. I still have on my contacts. The nurses talk to one another about how to get my contacts off. One of them says, "I think I can get my fingernail underneath them". F that! I motioned her over, and with half a mouth somehow conveyed to her that opthamologists had these great little suction cup tools that would work just fine. Whew, those fingernails would have hurt.

I am going to get an eye exam (first one in a new country) and get fitted for contacts.
I can do this! I WILL do this! My eyes will not be too dry. I have a little over a week to get used to them. PLEASE let me be able to wear them for holiday ... please ...please... please! [Edited 3/21/08 3:56am]

I just got back from the eye drs. Guess who has contacts??? I am currently wearing monthly ones but I also have some dailies to try to our holiday. I did have a little trouble getting my left eye in and out but with practice I hope I can do it. I passed the test enough in front of the dr that she set me free to do it on my own. They are a bit scratchy right now but better than the last time that I tried them. Ok Sammi if I can do it so can you I know you can

I always have a problem because my head/face is small and the adult frames never fit me correctly. I am still worried about having to remove the contacts later tonight. Eeeekkkk I hope they come off ok.
