Tivo question What is the UBS connection for on DVR recorders? Can u access the files stored on a DVR? can u burn them 2 dvd direct? | |

On my single tuner Tivo, the USB port is used for a wireless adapter (so it can communicate w/ the Tivo in the other room & get downloads via the cable internet connection). I don't have anything plugged into the USB on the dual tuner Tivo... | |

Try it and see. I still have the Prince 2004 SNL on my DVR. I need to do something with it storage-wise, before that DVT finally goes up in smoke. | |

Not sure about burning dvd's direct, seems like w/ Tivo you have to buy the machine that will burn them for you OR download their desktop software & use either Sonic or Roxio (they encode Tivo media so it can only be used w/ certain software). But I haven't checked up on that in a year or so, I need to see what's happening w/ it nowadays... | |
