how about those houston rockets! I don't normally type in all caps, but dang! Nineteen in a row, and some of that without Yao Ming!
I'll un-capitalize the thread title if the Rockets lose and the thread is still on page one. But I'll bump the hell out of it while we're winning! [Edited 3/19/08 7:10am]

Next up - Charlotte, on Friday night. GO ROCKETS!

Bumpety-bump-bump-BUMP!
Of COURSE they are for real. Twenty in a row, 12 of those on the road. Oh but Rodeo, you say, they've played a lot of sub-500 teams. So what? Everyone else is playing those sub-500 teams but I don't see them reeling off 20 in a row.

I hope the Rockets don't look past Charlotte tonight. Sunday's game will be off the hook. Is Bynum back yet?

Although unlike Yao, Bynum is coming back. Can you imagine what that team is going to be like when he does? Good Lord...

When Gasol went down against the Hornets, I knew the Lakers would have a tough time winning this game. I still say the Lakers will win the West. When Gasol and Bynum come back, there's no team in the West that will beat them in a seven game series.

Gosh, I do hope my Hawks can rally to get that 8th playoff spot so that they can be swept by the Celtics in the first round.

Bynum's out for another month and now the question is, will his return possibly upset the applecart? Gasol is out indefinitely. I doubt with an ankle sprain that "indefinitely" means all year, though. I don't care who's in the line-up. We've beaten all comers.

AND YOU KNOW WHAT, HOUSTON WILL STILL LOSE IN THE FIRST ROUND YET ONCE AGAIN!! I Guarantee you Houston will lose this Wednesday to my New Orleans Hornets and thats when Houston will free fall all the way either out the playoffs or to 7th or 8th place!! Sorry but I can't stand Tracy mcgrady after the comments he made last year about he will not attend the all star game cause it was in New Orleans like people going to miss his cock eyed @ss!! I was so glad my other team Utah took them out last yr in playoffs in front of their own crowd that we all danced in the streets like Mardi Gras!! LOL!!! But love the city of Houston though. My 4th or 5th favorite in country behind Los Angeles, Las Vegas and etc!! poor Yao Ming, I like him but its a shame he has a stupid, cock eyed thug who thinks he's Kobe Bryant or lebron James on the same team. Yao deserves better!! [Edited 3/17/08 5:43am]

That's the secret of the 22-game win streak. The proof was that the Rockets didn't look past Charlotte Friday night.

The MVP goes to the player that balls over the course of the entire season. It's gonna come down to Kobe, Paul, and KG. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

I think it's gonna be Kobe because he's been the best player over the last 4 or 5 seasons while CP3 is a newbie and I just don't see them giving it to him over a player that MANY have felt should have already won it at LEAST 1 time. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

What u talking about, Kobe ain't done nothing the last 4 or 5 yrs. Sure he is one of the top 3-5 players in the league but u can say same with Garnett!! If a player deserves it they deserve it. CP has scoring, assists and steals. Kobe only has scoring!! We will see though!!

T-Mac put the Rockets on his shoulders and carried them to the second-greatest winning streak in league history. Obviously, he is more valuable, and has performed better, than anyone else.
The caveat is where the Rockets finish. If they hold on to the #1 seed, there is no question that T-Mac is the MVP. No question at all. Yao went out February 26th. On that day, the Rockets were 36 - 20 and three games behind the Lakers. They could have folded, but T-Mac became Superman. If the Rockets falter down the stretch, then I can see T-Mac not getting the award. No matter what, Rick Adelman is Coach of the Year.
