I just looked at a scale thingie and the Eureka building is about the same height as the Chrysler building. Nice. I've been to the top of the Empire State Building on a school trip before but I really don't remember anything bcuz I was like in the 3rd grade. The only thing I can remember is when we were going up in the elevator my ears got REALLY clogged. [Edited 3/16/08 22:49pm] surviving on the thought of loving you, it's just like the water

The lift in this one went up 9m per second, so it took about 30 seconds to get to the 88th floor I had to get the kids to yawn and swallow constantly on the way up!

when i first started going out with my now husband- he dragged me up the top of the shot tower- i didnt look out at the top. 259 shaky steps up and back talk about sweaty palms The top of the tower can be accessed via a 259 step circular staircase and offers spectacular views up, down and across the Derwent River http://www.parks.tas.gov..../hist.html oh, did i mention i only made it to the 1st landing in primary school but u wont get me up there again seems that i was busy doing something close to nothing, but different than the day before

Afraid of heights You miss some of the most beautiful places in the world just for that.
I'm arachnophobic but that wouldn't stop me from going to Australia if I had the cash.

I'm arachnophobic but that wouldn't stop me from going to Australia if I had the cash. 2 AND i live in australia ive done more height things since i became a mum- doesnt mean i have to like it though I stood this close to a spider with Tyra in November, I wouldn't even have gone in the room if I'd been on my own but you can't show the child you're afraid. Or you CAN but then you become a parent/aunt/whatever who pass the stupid fear on to the child and that shit should be illegal. There are no even remotely intelligent people who don't realise that phobias are only in our minds and have no logical reason, so passing them onto children is like you want to curse them with the same fear. I'm better with spiders than I used to be, working with horses for 20 years will do that. I've always loved heights, used to sit on the railing of our school gathering hall, the 3rd floor balcony about 90ft up...on the side facing outwards. It's a lovely feeling plus it gives the bullys the distinct info: "If we push her down from there she'll DIE and we don't wanna bully her THAT much."
