There are too many parents that think just because they find a bed buddy they really like it's appropriate to slide them into their home.

WRONG.

The commitment to the child is more important than that. There's plenty of time to pal around when the child is grown or to "have fun" without disrupting your child's life.



A parent who understands the importance of doing that is IMHO a damn good one.

I do recognize that in certain(possibly extreme)situations this goes out the window, but in most situations I think this is ideal.

Putting the children first means putting some of your needs last.

I wouldn't involve myself with a parent that doesn't understand this.

Depends on how old those kids are and how long it's been since they've lived with their dad.

Wow. I'm still a kid myself.

But if it was someone my age. Most likely not.
