The South was my only perfect bracket until Pitt just lost. The way things are going I wouldn't be one bit surprised if UCLA loses.

Has this weekend had more upsets than usual or is it just me?

I'm glad I was given that Friday off for the games. Wow, Duke's gone already, huh. They fucked my bracket up, but I don't care. I hate their basketball team so bad that seeing them out this early is worth having a bad bracket. My bracket sucks every year anyway so..... Kentucky messed me up as well. I had them in the Sweet 16. UConn messed me up, as well as USC. My bracket's terrible already, but my Final 4 teams are still in there. I just didn't have time to keep up with teams this year, so when I went to do my brackets, I just went for it and picked blindly. One of my brackets is a bogus one with a bunch of crazy upsets on it. I think that one is doing the best.

I was out all day and come home only to find Georgetown is gone!?! Damn, damn, damn. I had them going to the elite 8 in a few of my brackets. Two #2 teams gone and Memphis & UCLA squeaking by their games...I think a #1 seed is going down in the next round.

There's always been something about March Madness that bugs me. This tournament generates MILLIONS of dollars. It puts loot in the pockets of many people, including coaches(with phat sneaker contracts) & self-righteous NCAA shills like Dick Vitale & Billy Packer. But the cats doing the actual work - how much do THEY get? Just asking.

Amateur athletics my ass - these cats(along with college football players) are semi-pros. Beneath all the pomp & tradition, college basketball(& football) is a cold-hearted business. NY Daily News columnist Bob Raissman calls it indentured servitude.
