But for some reason, I see u more in the 70's mode than the 60's. We've talked about that a lot over in Non Music. I know I penned u "Lori" because of this although Maddox was a Pagey fanatic more than anything. I never saw u as a groupie. Definately see u on the cover of Star magazine and being cool with cats from that period. Especailly Glam artists. But what do I know?

lol Hey, I'll take the 70's as well. You said you have some of those old Star mags, didn't you? hmmm

Ok, muse rather than groupie. razz

Although my biggest fantasy is to have been around with The Yardbirds (third incarnation) with Jimmy and Jeff Beck. nod You know, then I could have been in Blow Up as well. lol

biggrin

All this mod talk has me craving mod films. (I blame Carrie.) Blow Up is on Turner Classic Movies tonight so I'm going to watch it.

I saw that it's coming on last night. Isn't that a trip?

I love Blow Up. mushy It's sort of slow-moving though. lol

and be sure to watch for the scene where The Yardbirds are playing (with Jimmy Page biggrin ) and Jeff Beck where he smashes up his guitar. nod

Oh, and this one is cool too. Not exactly "mod", but just kind of strange and pointless. lol I like it though.

Great poster!

Checking it out now.
The VOX screws up and the Framus (or whatever brand guitar that is) takes a beating.

Interesting note.
Did you notice that the first few shots of the band...

...has Jeff Beck playing a Les Paul instead?

Since I was there but not quite legal age during the 60s, i'll answer twice.

Then...

A. a pot smoking hippie
Yes

B. a bra burner
Being male, more of a "bra remover" whistling

C. a Black Panther
No, too radical

D. a draft card burner
Based on age, N/A

E. a civil rights marcher
Yes. I was in that crowd of about 250,000 in Washington D.C. on 8/28/63 thanks to my Grandmother.

F. a Beatles fanatic
Yes

G. front row at Woodstock
Parents wouldn't let me go neutral

H. none of teh above

Now...

A. a pot smoking hippie
No to the pot but I still retain certain hippie sensibilities

B. a bra burner
Still a "bra remover" but it's isolated to one person's bra. cool

C. a Black Panther
No, still too radical

D. a draft card burner
No. I'd find a more effective way to protest and avoid being drafted.

E. a civil rights marcher
Yes

F. a Beatles fanatic
Yes

G. front row at Woodstock
Onstage at Woodstock

H. none of teh above

woot!

Yeah, I remember reading somewhere that he switched because he didn't want to ruin the good guitar. lol Apparently they wanted The Who to be the band here, but they were on tour and couldn't do it.

Also, did you notice us dancing there? The girl w/ the striped tights? That's me. biggrin
