why do people hate the word "no"? is there some reason people get mad when they don't get their way? [Edited 3/11/08 16:03pm]

I do not hate it at all
one of the most important words to know and use well something I taught my kids as well NO - it's a powerful word use it and mean it when you do

i don't even know if it's being spoiled--more like they feel entitled. i work at at large retail company, people switch tickets (blatantly) and when you tell them they can't have it for the wrong price, they get all indignant. they don't seem spoiled, just demanding

I don't mind it much at all usually.
But I totally get people who don't like it - to a point. When I was a kid I was taught that if the word answer I can get is "no," then how bad can it be...that's pretty much stuck with me forever. HE'S COMING AGAIN

I kinda agree with the entitlement part too. It kinda irks me when people feel as there is an obligation to them to have things the way they want it I experienced it while working as a cashier (the worst)many of times and with people I know.
