Blind Date!!!

Last week my boy offered up a blind date with a girl's friend he is seeing.

I'm like.....oh helllll no!!! I don't do blind dates....EVER!!

In these days and times....all one has to do is offer up an email address and send pics..."at least"!

NO BLIND DATING FOR THIS MAN!!

I don't mind them. Just because you're not into the person, you may still meet a cool dude or dudette.

I hate blind dates. 9 out of 10 times, I find myself sitting there thinking, "So U thought I'd like him, huh? confused "
Not much luck with them. Now I politely decline.

"Love Hurts.
Your lies, they cut me.
Now your words don't mean a thing.
I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..."

I went on one in college. A buddy of mine had warned me earlier in the day not to go out with Donna, who was in town visiting one of our fraternity brothers.

But I got drunk, and had tickets to a concert, and here comes the dude, offering to set me up if I'd let him use two of the tickets. I said, "Sure" and realized who he had set me up with about an hour later.

The last time I saw her was when I was running out of Reunion Arena.

I went on a blind date once. I worked with his sister in law and knew what his brother looked like. He turned out to be a gorgeous beach volley ball player but after I got to know more about him on the inside he became ugly to me on the outside as well.

No...I factor in the "what if we don't click" aspect. I don't wish to be stuck or confined in a situation that I am not feeling. Then have to put on a mask and tolerate their presence when I REALLY want to just get up and leave. Then "I'm" an asshole right? Fuck that....I ain't blind dating ever!

It's the not clicking, it's the "they like me but I don't like them" aspect, it's having to report to the friends who fixed you up that it didn't go well... or that it did on your end & not on theirs... TOO MUCH disbelief

Never been on one. I think it would be to weird. I agree with Dex, at least email and send some pics so you can at least become familiar with who you are meeting.

Then at the end of the evening...you have to say....I had a good time, but NO THANKS....? That is a contradiction in terms and if the moron/moronette doesn't get it you have to lay it out for them that you are not interested. Too much of a hassle!

See, to me that stuff happens when you do get the pic and email. Sometimes you just don't click.

I guess, I'm not bothered. If I do go a blind date, its on my turf. Its the place I like to eat, hang out or whatever and I don't trip.

I guess I'm mean cuz if we don't click, I'm like....whatever....where are my chicken nachos? lol

I'm with you on that, BLIND DATES SUCK! Your friend sounds like my friends, always trying to hook me up with a "nice guy". I finally had to nicely tell them not to, since the men that they fixed me up with were not what I was looking for. ill

Why do the stakes have to be so high? Don't meet for a "date"...just go for coffee or something.

If people can't be polite and sociable for a half-hour to an hour that's pretty sad. And learning how to extricate yourself from any future obligation - kindly and without hurt feelings - is a good skill to develop.
