RodeoSchro said: T-Mac put the Rockets on his shoulders and carried them to the second-greatest winning streak in league history. Obviously, he is more valuable, and has performed better, than anyone else.
The caveat is where the Rockets finish. If they hold on to the #1 seed, there is no question that T-Mac is the MVP. No question at all. Yao went out February 26th. On that day, the Rockets were 36 - 20 and three games behind the Lakers. They could have folded, but T-Mac became Superman. If the Rockets falter down the stretch, then I can see T-Mac not getting the award. No matter what, Rick Adelman is Coach of the Year. Rick's not a lock. If they choke in the 'Offs, he won't get it. nWo: bboy87 - Timmy84 - LittleBlueCorvette - MuthaFunka - phunkdaddy - Christopher

MuthaFunka said: Nope. They don't give out MVPs for balling over a 2 month period. The MVP goes to the player that balls over the course of the entire season. It's gonna come down to Kobe, Paul, and KG. Case closed.

I'd give it to Mo Cheeks. For that team to be close to .500 is a miracle, IMO.

Yeah, going from out of the playoffs to the number one seed in the toughest conference maybe in the history of basketball via a 22-game winning streak, with half of that accomplished after your leading scorer/MVP candidate is out for the season - yeah, I guess that's not that big of a deal.
LOL! | |

LOL! Folks are just trying to wind you up. It's obviously an awesome achievement no matter what happens later on and any sensible basketball fans knows this and can acknowledge it. They're just trying to get rise.
