I have three Atari systems, ColecoVision, and many hand held games. Here are my favorites:
Donkey Kong Jr. Ms Pacman, the fast version Xevious Jungle Hunt One on One Basketball, Larry Bird vs Dr J Bowling, 2600 version Pit Fall I and II Moon Patrol Dig Dug Here is a tip: Buy an Atari 7800 system off of Ebay. There are sellers that sell these direct without bidding. I bought mine for $50. Games can be bought for a few dollars. Amazingly, they are still sealed in the box.

Just to add to my post --
The Atari 7800 plays the original 2600 games. No adaptor is needed. The 5200 isn't really worth buying unless you are a collector.

Jungle Hunt?!?!?! Damn...I'm old...I remember when it came out, it was first called Jungle King and the lead character looked a heck of a lot like Tarzan (right down to the yell). He looked SO much like Tarzan that Taito (the company that made the arcade game) was threatened with a lawsuit by Edgar Rice Burrough's estate, leading to the main character's change to a pith-helmeted jungle explorer.
Hmmm...I think I know a little too much about this stuff...I really need to get a life...or a girlfriend...or BOTH
