Which is why i spend so much money on bottled water.
Between Perrier and SmartWater it's a chunk for sure.

But at least i know what i'm drinking.

Me, too. I bought a PUR filter, but it just doesn't taste as good as Smart water or other distilled water.

You can tell there's something in it.

Just take this pill
It's in your file

Don't work hard
Don't play hard
Don't plan for the graveyard
Remember

Everything gives you cancer

Don't work by night
Don't sleep by day
You'll feel all right
But you will pay

I doubt it. I don't really see how they can filter something that's dissolved in the water.

biggrin This statement just cracks me the hell up.

Ask the pharmaceutical industry whether the contamination of water supplies is a problem, and officials will tell you no. "Based on what we now know, I would say we find there's little or no risk from pharmaceuticals in the environment to human health," said microbiologist Thomas White, a consultant for the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America.

Somebody's been sipping drink that pharm wahtah.

what about a reverse osmosis system?

I don't know much about them but according to this article sounds like we're STILL screwed. wink

One technology, reverse osmosis, removes virtually all pharmaceutical contaminants but is very expensive for large-scale use and leaves several gallons of polluted water for every one that is made drinkable.

[Edited 3/10/08 8:25am]

Can't be that expensive since it's what all the bottled water companies use here in Thailand. Or they're lying. lol I drink Minere here mainly, which is mineral water from Chiang Mai basically made by Perrier Vittel. None of the bottled water can be just tap water here (unless you buy some really cheap shit at a gas station or something) since for even the hardiest Thais the tap water will make you sick without some treatment. My in-laws usually use a hose and put tap water in a barrel outside then let the sun heat it up. lol Still ends up in my food sometimes so I've way more to worry about than some tiny traces of meds in my drinking water. confused
