I haven't but a few friends have. What are the job prospects like now? I was there in November, right after Nova. Japan's biggest language school, went bust. There were a lot of unemployed teachers after that.

Retina has taught in Japan.
I've only ever taught in Thailand. Personally I wouldn't recommend teaching in Asia to anyone other than perhaps as a foot in the door to try to stay in a country longer term, for whatever reason. Maybe I'm just not cut out for it. Small classes and one to one is easy money though.

Not yet, but I'm seriously thinking about it in the near future. I just spent 10 days there last month and I LOVED the place. The people are so friendly and the cities are relatively clean. Plus if you're in Tokyo just about everything is written in Japanese and English, so it's not too hard to get around. Toejam @ Peach & Black Podcast: http://peachandblack.podbean.com
