BBC's Lark Rise To Candleford... who's famming out with me?

I love, love, love this series. I sit waiting patiently every sunday evening, cat on lap, waiting for the best costume drama since BBC's adaptation of Bleak House.

Again, great casting, great acting, great sets, beautiful camera work and oh! The drama!

Lark Rise, for those who do not know it, is an adaptation of Flora Thompson's autobiographical novel "Lark Rise To Candleford", set in 19 century Oxfordshire, in which a young girl moves to the local market town to begin an apprenticeship as a postmistress.

Her encounters with how life is shaped around expectations and set patterns are chronicled. But especially the way all these expectations are shifted subtly is what makes this series fun to me.

Great roles for Claudie Blakley (love her) and Brendan Coyle as the young girl's parents, the young girl Laura herself is played by Olivia Hallinan; an actress to watch out for.

But also veterans, like Dawn French and Julia Sawalha and amazing older actors that steal my heart every weak; have a look out for Linda Bassett and Karl Johnson as the Turrils, two lovely old people you just wanna take home.

Who's with me?

No one, huh?

Last night's episode was fun. And some more Phillip, the little prick he is becoming. Still hot to look at, though.

Just two more episodes this season... and they say there is a new season commisioned.

It's a series for older ladies that miss romance, I admit. But I love it so much. Sigh.

You'd love this series. It is easily downloadable for everyone in the whole wide world.

And just you wait until the series introduces Oliver Jackson-Cohen as Philip. He is dreamy. 21 year old, so just eye candy...
