For real. I only wear mid-rise jeans.

No one can be "given" pancake ass, they have it already & just didn't expose it before Hip huggers tend to be tighter so they'll stay up, & it seems like folks wanna show their asses when they're wearing tight jeans (yes, even those w/ bad asses). A great ass can't be hampered by hip huggers...

I think the term "coin slot" is hilarious. That said, I really don't want to see any coin slots.

A great ass can't be hampered by hip huggers... most people who wear them accentuate their pancake ass unlike other jeans or hiphuggers make it more obvious the other extreme, they dont have a fat ass but have a fat back literally and gut. unfortunately most people who wear them have no business wearing them cause they dont have a great ass [Edited 3/7/08 8:11am]

Most people can not pull it off - or at least the non covered up version of it. Muffin Tops are not cool at all and I also agree that a flat ass in them looks even flatter. Now, with that said...I do wear them but I keep covered up and I actually have a wider hip and smaller waist so I (thank God!) don't get that overhang that many (even skinny chicks) get.

That's true . But I love them . By hiphuggers we must be talking about super low rise jeans, right? Those can get ridiculous but I still see people in them all the time I can barely tell the difference between low & mid rise anymore (I'm pretty sure I have mostly lower rises), but I know I'll never wear jeans that hit @ the waist again

That's true . But I love them . I've always hated them. They always looked so bad on me. "I saw a woman with major Hammer pants on the subway a few weeks ago and totally thought of you." - sextonseven

I hardly see them in stores anymore. But then, I generally hate jeans and pants anyway on myself, so I'm not usually shopping for them. And well yeah, no one wants to be a Mom Jeans ad walking around. I don't like high-waisted pants (and hardly anyone can really pull them off outside of a fashion spread anyway) but I do like pants that fit on your natural waist. I'm so glad low rise is over. Because I apparently have a really weird body w/ a long torso, so 2 inch zippers barely cover what needs to be covered down there. Low rise jeans never fit me like they fit the general population and it was a nightmare trying to find anything that wasn't super low. I bought a pair of wide-legged jeans last year that said "high waist" and I swear they're STILL low on me!!!!! I think I need an 8 inch zipper for jeans to look even "regular" on me.
