At the restaurant Po Folks, they used to serve beverages out of Mason Jars.

when i was little, my parents used to taunt me by threatening to take me to po' folks - i'd throw a fit and scream that i refused to drink my coca-cola out of a mason jar! lol

Po Folks was a great restaurant. I loved their greens, corn bread , and especially their Birthday Celebrations.

And, only your parents threatened you this way?

well, there were a couple of landlords later on in my adult life, but i don't think they were trying to tease me.

i've never been in a cracker barrel restaurant either. that's because of the whole thing about cracker barrel discriminating against the gays back in the 80s/early 90s. if the gays can work at cracker barrel now and they have a couple of decent veg options, heck, i'll try it.

lol Anx, you definitely got a point there. Here, I'm straight and see the humor. The Cracker Barrel is something else. They only situate their restuarants in certain areas definitely not metro.

Right off the top of my head? I'll try...

Grey Poupon is, like, a brand of Dijon-style mustard originally owned and marketed in the U.S. by the Heublein Company and now owned and manufactured by Kraft Foods. Like other Dijon mustards, Grey Poupon contains a small amount of white wine, and uses brown mustard seed grown in Canada. The wine used is produced in upstate New York under the supervision of a rabbi, to ensure that the product maintains a kashrut (kosher) status. Grey Poupon became a popular mustard in the late 1970s and 1980s as American tastes broadened from the comparatively bland American yellow mustards.

Or something like that. shrug

.. now see, your post is exquisite.. make a person wanna buy it..

Christopher's shortened version.. lol

Dijon is too strong for my tastes if I'm making a sandwich. I prefer yellow mustard.

But if I'm cooking, I love dijon! Or in a salad dressing nod

When I took cooking classes from a French woman, this is what she recommended, for mustard. One of my fav recipes: mustard/olive oil/garlic basted roast chicken stuffed with seedless green grapes. The cavity was basted with the same mustard combo....delicious!

It's the simplest recipe. The grapes are tasty after roasting. She taught me: cooking is an art, without being difficult. All you need to do, is use fresh ingredients. And quality French mustard.
