Don't feel bad. At 3:00 AM, I couldn't sleep either, but it was because I drank too much.

For the first time in 25 years, I drove the porcelein train. Ugh.

I feel good now, though. Of course, I may still be drunk.

4 TIPS 2 BEAT INSOMNIA
1) Avoid light & noise.
2) Avoid stress.
3) Avoid caffeine.
4) Avoid business/anxiety.

And... wink

7 TIPS 2 SLEEP BETTER
1) Soak up the Sun in the morning, maybe have breakfast outside. This will make you have mellow feelings during night-time instead, naturally causing you to sleep better.
2) Exercise in the morning, or the early evening. The latter choice is better, but make sure not to exercise within 3 hours of going to bed. You'll still be energized instead of naturally worn out if you don't do this. Have a light dinner, it'll work like a dream!
3) Dim the lights at night! TV screens, light-bulbs, etc. cause us to be bombarded with light until the minute we go to sleep. Dim the lights around 8:00 PM. Perhaps have a candlelight dinner! Don't stay on the computer or TV the hour before you go to bed & conditions will be better for you to ease into sleep.
4) Cover your clock, so that you won't worry about what time it is. There's nothing worse than creating a torture chamber of anxiety in your mind. Turn the clock away, put it under the bed, or cover it. Don't get something with light on it, and know that you'll wake up at the perfect time!
5) Spray perfume on your pillow! Particularly, Lavender & Mirrh. Or, onto a handkerchief that you should place under your pillow. This will serve as a sedative to naturally help ease you into sleep.
6) Relax in the bathtub! Take a warm bath, and will you come out into the air & feel a chill, know that it's good. Because when your body temperature comes down, that actually triggers a nice, relaxing, sleeping state. Turn the thermostat down after you come out of the warm bath, because your sheets should also be cool to the touch.
7) Knitting, read a relaxing (not scary) book, do a crossword puzzle (no brain-busters), because that repetitive eye motion is almost hypnotic in assisting sleep. If you're gonna play music to try to help you sleep, play New Age like Maroon 5, no loud Dance music please! These helpful tips should work. thumbs up!
