I cry over books regularly. Some that made me sob like a baby are:
The Color Purple The Kite Runner A Thousand Splendid Suns The Secret Life of Bees Peony in Love The Power of One Kaffir Boy Sophie's Choice and many more!

I'm reading 'A Thousand Splendid Suns' right now. So far I think it's much better than 'The Kite Runner' which I felt really seemed to tail off at the end. There's one particular moment '..Suns' which has really got to me so far. There's Joy In Expatriation.

i remember bawling as a little kid when my mom told me tolkien was dead.

What those poor women must endure made me sad, angry and amazed all at the same time. It's my favorite book from 2007.

I got teary eyed over the following: 1) Count of Monte Cristo 2) Ender's Game 3) Speaker for the Dead 4) Odd Thomas 5) The Vampire Lestat 6) Novell Zenworks 6.5 Administration - A Comprehensive Guide to Network systems management and Network Identity Management. I cried my eyes out over odd Thomas. In spite of the cost of living, it's still popular. |

God I sobbed at that one. I cry from a lot of Stephen King books actually. I just finished "Lisey's Story" last week and cried when that one ended too. Such a wonderful story. Also from "Song of Susannah" from the Dark Tower series. I sobbed from that one too. and people need to shut up about the Harry Potter books because I don't know the whole story yet! I don't think I've ever actually cried over a book that I can recall. But the last one that really got me choked up was the Kite Runner.
Oh, and the first was probably the Dark Phoenix Saga trade paperback. "Half of what I say is meaningless; but I say it so that the other half may reach you." - Kahlil Gibran
