Exactly, I don't want to subject a woman to messing with her hormones if she doesn't want to, but I don't want a vasectomy, and neither of us wants condoms.

I'd at least be willing to try a pill if there was one.

I was taking the pill for many years and didn't even realize how many side effects it had until I was told to take a break from it. I didn't want to, but finally did and then I never started taking it again. So as I don't want an implant in my arm I got used to using condoms again and IMO it's not such a big deal .

It's a lot easier to manage female fertility than male fertility, if you know what to look for. Women are only fertile for a limited number of days each cycle. Men are fertile all the time.

In fact, if you're willing to take the time to learn your own signs and cycle and abstain for a few days a month (or engage in...ummm..."alternative endeavors") you don't really need artificial birth control, at all.
