I'm allergic to latex. Convincing guys to use polyurethane is a pain! God, I want a totally monogamous relationship!!!! "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

I don't mind condoms at all.
Actually, we regularly use condoms with my girlfriend. Keeps her off the pill and the potential side effects. With strangers, a condom is a must. NO exceptions. Period. It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

I hate them. I hate the smell, I hate the feel, I hate the taste, I hate the look of them used and un-used. They're just gross.
That said -they're a neccesity. Never without. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

they are on the packing list of every self-respecting survivor. You know you can hold a lot of water in them (5 to 10 liters ??) and you can even cook water in them !!!

A teenager goes into a pharmacy. He's little bit shy when talking to the pharmacist. "I'd like to buy some condoms" he says. The pharmacists asks him
"have you ever bought condoms before son?" "Nope" "here is how it works" the pharacist says "we got your three packs for when you are in high school. Friday, Saturday, Sunday. A three pack, see. Then we got a 7 pack when you are in college - Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Then we got a 12 pack for when you are married. "January, February, ..…."

Same. They're just necessary. There aren't (or haven't been, if they've been developed recently) tests for HPV for men and an estimated 50-80% of sexually active adults have it. You simply can't have sex without them unless you don't care about your health. |

Sex has become too important to me to worry about if someone is going to give me something and I hate condoms so until I find a male partner I can trust, sex is just out of the question.

You simply can't have sex without them unless you don't care about your health. I've managed to not use them for most of my relationships and have not picked up an STD or even gotten pregnant (until I was 30). You can have a healthy sex life without using them. Now, that said. I simply do not sleep around and only sleep with people I know very, very well. The only time I will insist on them is if it's someone new and I still don't know everything about them. So although stds are out there and the risks are high, you can definitely have sex without them and care about your health at the same time. The key is to be extremely selective and educated about who you sleep with.

Sure, risk is reduced, but not gone. But sometimes people don't care about the minor risks, and that's cool too. I think at some point you have to or you'd simply never have sex. |
