My New Stereo. Hurray for me.

After having a Marantz CD player / Rotel Amp / Mission bookshelf speakers since 1989 I thought it was about time to treat myself to a new system.

So now, my setup is:

Mac Mini running iTunes (I'm currently ripping all my music as lossless ALAC)

|
v

USB out into Bel Canto S300iu integrated amp with USB DAC

|
v

Focal 806v standmount speakers

Sorry if that means nothing to 99% of you but I'm tripping on it!

Thanks. The Focal's are pretty much kid proof which was my main worry going for bookshelf's. My 2 year old would love to punch a tweeter through so those grilles are very handy, plus the speakers also bolt to their stands!

Good luck choosing in 3yrs!

Thanks!! highfive I've always wanted either Carver or McIntosh components....Polk or Klipsch Pro series speakers....and now that I'm a little older and have a little bit more "fluid" capital, when the kids come home for a visit from their respective colleges, they're gonna be all omfg ...

....but then they gotta go!! lol I can only imagine how your system sounds, but based on the pix I'm imagining some of my fave sounds....music
