sigh

So my neighbour was able to get his car out since it was near the road. He realizes that we just can't do it manually and he and his roommate have gone to find a snowblower.

God, I hope he can find one.

My other neighbours digging out.

I don't even know what to say. That looks insane. I'm just sitting here shaking my head right now feeling like a lil' bitch because I bitched all day yesterday about how much rain we got.

That and snowblowers are for pussies.

Have you changed your mind about snowblowers yet?

It rained all weekend here.

We didn't end up getting one. But the two guys upstairs finished off what I just couldn't do on my own. It's finally done as of 6:30pm. We (or I) started at 10am this morning. Taking breaks now and then.

No joke, I cried today. lol It was all too much, trying to get it done by myself with a shit shovel with no where to put the snow, a really tired body from shoveling yesterday (and twice earlier in the week) and all while trying to also watch my son as he played to make sure he didn't venture out onto the street. I'm such a baby. I just broke down.

That rain was from the same system that kicked my ass. confused

I saw on the news a shot of a snowplow stuck in the snow. Even they couldn't do it. lol

We now hold the title of snowiest capital in the world. We got 56cm this weekend adding to the 30cm we got on Wednesday plus all the snow we got before that. This winter we have had 13.5 feet of snow. neutral

My body aches like a mofo. sad

This must be an unusual winter all around up there.

I know it's been strange for us too. The other week it got down to 50 the other night. And the week before, we almost had a freeze one night. Strange.

Dude, we got dumped on, BAD. It's like mother nature just took a shit all over Ohio. I got up this morning, and there was like two feet of snow on my balcony.

We got over two feet of snow yesterday. We're all plowed out now but it did make for a fun weekend.

nod We got a good 18" of snow up here in Cleveland, Ohio on Saturday. It snowed literally all damn day - lol! I couldn't even leave my house because I was snowbound. So if anybody wants to see some snow, c'mon up to Ohio, we have plenty of it and more to spare up here. lol

i would love to see some snow like that in my area.. we havent had a good winter storm like that since 2002 ... but yeah, you need the snowmobile to clear your street and sidewalks .. dont teenagers offer to shovel snow for you? teenagers here do ..cause they want money .. .. driving in that type snow isnt fun either..

That is a ridiculous amount of snow. Sorry you had shovel all that. I can't believe cities can function after having THAT much snow dumped on them. Last week, for the first time I can remember in the 27 years I've lived in Texas, it snowed TWICE in the same week. Last Thursday we got 3-5 inches, so they closed schools in the suburbs at 1 pm and didn't hold classes on Friday. But the temperature is supposed to be 87 degrees on Friday. How do you go from 20 degrees to 87 degrees in less than a week??? But according to Bush, the jury's still out on global warming. . . rolleyes disbelief

Please - y'all just need to suck it up. We've had almost 100 inches of snow here this winter (shattering the old record from 30 years ago). And the temperature continues to hover from 10 to 20 degrees lower than normal for this time of year. If anyone has a right to cave to winter, it's me. And yet, and I went out and bought sandals and a new pair of shades over the weekend.

Only 8ft of snow?

We have almost 14 feet.

City is fully running today but I can't believe how narrow all the streets are.

I'm tired.

Hey.. Ottawa is fun because I am not the one shoveling the snow. It is not as cold as the last tme, so I might venture out to the city and see what it has to offer. Say hi to Peter for me..
