1) Martha Stewart or Rachel Ray? - Martha. I didn't used to like him, but these days I like the fact that he's an ex-con who bakes cakes on television. Plus, Amy Sedaris is on the Martha show now and then - I highly recommend YouTubing her appearances, they're hiLARious. Meanwhile, Rachel Ray gets on my nerves, though I heard she's a big fan of obscure indie rock, so like whatever. Sedaris should get her own show on the Food network, then this question would be null and void.

2) Blinds or Curtains? - Blinds on the first floor, curtains on the second floor. God, that sounded like vulgar euphemism, didn't it?

3) Indian or Thai? Indian all the way. I love Thai - LOVE it - but I will respond emotionally to good Indian food. A fresh Indian curry dish has the same effect on me as a good Susan Sarandon movie - I go all verklempt.

4) Impressionist or Modern Art? - I'm trying more and more not to limit myself to just appreciating modern art, and to at least learn more about older styles of painting and pre-modern artists...but what can I tell you, I likes what I likes. Gimme a big obnoxious day-glo Kenny Scharf installation anyday.

5) Hunky Surfer dude or GQ subsriber? - eww. Why can't I choose between a tweaky bike messenger dude or a McSweeneys subscriber? I can't have anything nice.

I like Queen - I'm a fan of the 'Jazz' album in particular ('Mustafa' is the bomb, yo) - but I love how much of a music geek Bowie is. I get the idea that he'd be a fun person to go wrecka stow shopping with. He has an enthusiasm for music that I find really fascinating, and it comes through in a lot of his own music. I like that.
