I really liked the Witch Mountain movies and I thought that "Beauty and the Beast" was great.
There are some interesting stories out there about Disney Films...like the topless woman who was in "The Rescuers" http://www.snopes.com/dis...scuers.htm and the Disney film "The story of Menstruation" http://www.snopes.com/dis...menses.htm and the Disney film in which lemmings were forced to jump off of a cliff http://www.snopes.com/dis...mmings.htm

SONG OF THE SOUTH!!!
Briar Bear, Briar Fox and the rabbit, pre Roger Rabbit 'Don't throw me in that Briar patch!' Uncle Remus, the bull, OMG I cried in the movie theatre and my mom had to take me out!!! finally got it on import laser disc. Disney thinks its taboo and I thought it was wonderful ---------------------------------

I guess they think kids will be harmed mentally, or maybe adults.
As a child viewer, all i remember was the animation, Fox bear and rabbit (herein lies the problem) the Tar baby i guess. There was a trap with a man made of sticky tar to resemble uncle Remus (the real black man)? The rabbit gets stuck in the tar??? OOOH scarred for life. Maybe he was a slave but I don't remember. Its no worse than Mammy and Prissy in Gone with the wind, and that is a classic. I really don't want to get in the race discussion. I do remember the boys pushing the little girl in the mud and ruining her dress and the little boy running through the field when the bull hit him, Also the rabbit getting thrown into the briar patch and escaping, and of course zippidydoodah. My oh my what a wonderful day, plenty of sunshine headin my way. Must not be too harmful, I live with a black man ---------------------------------

The Black Hole.
The WTF Dante's Inferno ending kinda freaked a lotta kids out though (probably why I liked it!).

I have a little daughter now, I gotta get these for her. Me too... Bedknobs and Broomsticks and Escape To Witch Mountain! There was a movie I watched in the mid seventies when I was a child and it was Disney. I can't remember the name of it, but it had a little girl in it and a tiger and the little girl ended up falling down the well. I think she ended up being a ghost in the movie. I'm sure it's Disney. Does anyone know what I'm talking about? It's not Napoleon And Samantha is it? That was a lion though. No, that's not it.
