KIDNEY DIALYSIS MACHINES???? A freind of mine has just found out that theres a 50/50 chance that he will have 2 b on a kidney dialysis machine now for the rest of his life. The thing is, he still wants 2 do things like travel, particularly flying. Is there anyone on here that knows about kidney dialysis machines and if so, can anyone tell me if he will b able 2 fly abroad and also, will airline companies allow portable dialysis machines on board, particularly in light of all the heightened security measures now, and what other procedures will my freind have 2 go through before he even gets on a plane!!!???
Thanks!!! | |

Couldn't help but but in, My great aunt was on a dialysis machine and she had to go on it at least every 2-3 days!! Usually after you do dialysis that day, you would be too tired to do anything else that day cause you would be hooked up on the machine for more than up to 6-8 hrs a day!! Sure he can travel, but he must have access to a machine where he is going. | |
