Vanilla Sky Whos watched Vanilla Sky, i just watched it, and what are ur opinions on it?
I think it is a great example of how God can give man/woman everthin they wish 4 (successful, popular, wealthy,) and the next day take it all away, cruel but conseqential and testing. The film is sad, then u find-out whats really goin on at the final. I would say a very entertaing and thinking provokin film. Sam Prince 2010 Good Luck for Future & Tour

I haven't seen "Vanilla Sky" but I have the original on dvd.
"Abre los Ojos" ("open your eyes"). Also starring Penelope Cruz. I've just heard so much about it and mostly negative,I wanted to see it, to compare it to the original but after evrything I heard, I was too tired to go and form my own opinion. HEHEHE  Maybe I'll catch it on tv..

Vanilla Sky was an excellent movie, and Tom Cruise did a superb job.
A lot of people (Americans in general) didnt like this movie.. and when eye left the theater, eye keep hearing people complain, and from what they were all saying, it was mainly cause they didnt understand the movie, and they actually dont want to think when watching a movie. This movie had so many curves, u never knew what was gonna happen next. This is one of my all time favorite movies. There was a lot of detail that went in2 this movie, if u are curious about that, check the dvd for the commentary, its great. yes, orgnote me if u would like 2 talk about this movie..

I went to see this with friends, and one person was complaining for weeks afterwards because she didn't understand it. I thought it was a great movie. Like Memento, it makes your brain work.

Well the original is an absolutely superb movie, 1 I would love 2 see again. Excellent plot and acting. Very emotional too. Great stuff... "...because no-one gets there alone." - "...I like the floor. It's the only thing that seems real."

It was decent, pretty interesting. There's something about Tom Cruise getting his head fucked that I like. The ending was kind of a letdown...

Oh yes, the original is sooo much better than the Hollywood remake. Alejandro Amenabar is a very talented director

makes your brain work. Memento was GOOD. Vanilla Sky just seemed so rediculous to me. It made no sense. But I guess that's the point maybe? If you let your subconscious create your reality then everything gets all fucked up?

I thought it was a very good movie... even though Tom Cruise was in it. Didn't he direct or produce it too?

I cried the whole time. My brother looked just like Tom in the beginning of the film...and then when he had the accident he looked even MORE like my brother after his own accident. My mother couldn't even watch it, it was like watching her son on tv. Ugh.

I'm usually okay with Tom Cruise, but in this film he seems to over-act (more than usual), playing a slightly disfigured version of Jerry MaGuire. My favorite visuals: the cars (Ferrari GTO and Mustang fastback) and a deserted Times Square. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"
