Has anybody seen this? What did you think?


Ever since I read an amazing interview with Karl Lagerfeld in the Observer Magazine last year, I have been dying to see this film/documentary. Part of me thinks I will be appalled by the ostentatiousness and total excess; part of me is utterly fascinated by what it will show. I've been waiting for it to show in a local cinema but, as yet, no such luck. That just means I *have* to get the dvd. It looks fabulous.


And for those who know more about this man than I do, what are your impressions? I admire him in much the same way as I do Bowie, Prince, Eno, David Byrne, etc., for their commitment to a singular vision. SO idiosyncratic. He intrigues me so much, I spent a great deal of last weekend watching Lagerfeld clips on Youtube. Go look! There are some really interesting things.

Lagerfeld Photo is one of my all time favorite colognes ever.

I love the way it's shamelessly masculine, spicy, and stands out against other scents. Unfortunately, it's very hard to find now in stores as it's well over 15 years old.

Excellent - I am so eager to see this! I watched clips of some French fly-on-the-wall series (which was superb) and I can't wait to see 'Confidential'.

Apparently, it's beautifully filmed yes? Sumptuous.
